We regret to inform everyone that Oliver will NOT be attending Fishtery’s Fish & Plant Swap, Sunday, the 4th….
We know. We’re devastated too.
Unfortunately, Oliver has been relieved of his event duties after repeatedly demonstrating that he cannot be trusted around a workplace full of fish, plants, snacks, and people.
His duties currently include:
• Professional napper
• Full time toy destroyer
• Part time aquarium supervisor
• Snack inspector
• Chief Officer of Causing Problems
So…..
while Oliver will be home creating chaos elsewhere,
WE WILL BE AT FISHTERY WAITING FOR YOU.
Sunday, from 1 PM to 6 PM, we’re bringing together people from our local aquarium community for an afternoon of fish, plants, and just hanging out with people who understand why having “just one more tank” is a completely reasonable decision.
Here’s what you can expect:
🐟 Fish swap
🌱 Aquatic plants
🍔 Hamburgers & hotdogs
🪴 People from the aquarium hobby
🛍️ Fishtery will be open
💆 Massage therapist on site
🎟️ Raffle
🎁 Giveaway featuring exclusive handmade Fishtery merch
🔨 Silent auction
🎉 And plenty of opportunities to meet other local fishkeepers
The raffle and lottery prizes can include things like tanks, local business gift cards, and select fish… so you may want to bring your lucky ticket buying energy.
And if you have fish, plants, equipment, or other aquarium related things sitting around that you’d like to swap, donate, or give away, bring them with you!
Most importantly, come hang out.
This isn’t just about buying and selling fish…
We want this to be a place where local fishkeepers can meet each other, talk about the hobby, share what they’re keeping, discover something new, and hopefully leave having made a new aquarium friend.
And we KNOW there are some of you who are already saying:
“I’ll just stop by and look.”
Tag the person who says they’re “just coming to look.”
We all know how this ends.
Come see us Sunday (or even tomorrow) at Fishtery. Bring your friends, bring your aquarium obsession, bring something to swap if you have it, and come help us build something really special for the local fishkeeping community.
Oliver won’t be there….
But we’re pretty sure he’ll forgive you for coming without him.
See you Sunday!
