It seems like every few months or so I just have a week that yanks me away from social media almost ENTIRELY.

This was that week apparently. Woke up with a flat tire last Friday morning.. canceled my appointments for the day and waited for Will to get home. Brought the tire to the gas station to air-test it and it poured air out of the valve stem. A trip to Tire Kingdom, no money spent, and one of their lovely employees actually screwed the center of the valve stem back in and we were on our way with a repaired tire.

I should've known it was too good to be true. 🥹 Cue heading to St.Augustine yesterday for Will's little brothers birthday celebration.. and the tire goes flat at 70 MPH on I-295. Thank GOD a friend picked us up and got us to the Goodyear down the road. A brand new tire, put on the car on the side of the roaring interstate, and we were on our way.. again.

Lesson learned about cheap fixes.

And, after a lovely day, we arrived home late last night and let a few rather excited, really-having-to-potty pups outside... where we learn another lesson. That they really shouldn't be let out of our sights, actually ever. Poor Bandit ripped an entire nail clean off, somehow, in the yard.. came back in bleeding, and got held (and kissed.. a lot) with quick-stop and a bandage on his exposed quick until he finally stopped bleeding. 😭

I may not be posting consistently still for a bit. Between the kitties, goats, grooming and farm care, and now a 6-8 week recovery for our little loaf, I may be even MORE scatter brained than I have been lately. Which is saying something. 🥲

First thing this morning, I received 4 packs of the 6-count wet kitten food. I CANNOT express how grateful I am for my people - for YOU GUYS. Yes, I see you. The same couple of lovely ladies that keep donating for these babies. I also have a bag of litter on the way as well 😭❤️

Y'all are GENUINELY, TRULY THE BEST. You don't have to go above and beyond, being amazing clients is great enough, but you DO and I SEE YOU.

A SOLID win for the end of Feline Friday - the littlest baby, who was being so so picky about trying the mush, has finally decided to join up and munch down!!

While I am THRILLED about his decision, I am also looking at our meager 3 cans of wet food left and wondering how much these babies are going to need for the next... 5 weeks? Possibly more?

We just had their first official vet visit yesterday AM, where the babies were all dewormed, and we go back in 3 weeks for vaccines... then it's on to scheduling their spay/neuters. Between those visits, their increasing appetites, and their increasing bowel movements (🥹🤦‍♀️) I am in DESPERATE need of a few items to make sure I can keep up with their needs.

Dusty: "Are you sure you know what you're doing? I'm pretty sure you're supposed to - whoa, hey, hey! Step back! This is a job for the courageous and oh-so powerful KITTEN OF CAT-ASTROPHE!"

I had an assistant for all of about ten minutes and nearly "lost" the sandpaper grinders to my Dremels AND about had a couple of holes conveniently added to my pet perfumes. This little fella was VERY convinced he was the best candidate for the job 🤦‍♀️🤣

I'm thinking these little gals feel a LOT better now. Their owner is 84 and doing her best to get them taken care of, and that is EXACTLY what 5A is here for! Do NOT hesitate to reach out, even if your little furbabies nails look like this. I do NOT judge, I just do what I need to do for the pups ❤️

I took a little nap and forgot to post about the BEST part of the vet trip today. 🤦‍♀️

Moxie does NOT, in fact, have a brother and a sister. She has TWO BROTHERS!! One boy just happens to be a little, ahem, larger.. so I may have misgendered the littlest one. Oops!

I guess Mabel and Dipper won't work as name ideas now, so... who has some good suggestions for BOY names that go well with Moxie? 🥹

Guess who's at the vet today? 👀

And, in true Moxie fashion, she was absolutely PERFECT until we walked in the door of the vets office, and she started closing her left eye. I think one of her friends may have gotten her in the face during our little trip up here, because it seems like just some minor redness and irritation, but thankfully.. she did it on the way to the vet 🤦‍♀️

Even the vet tech was loving these little cuties!! How could you NOT?!
