Another Step Forward

We’re excited to announce the completion of our newest structure here at the farm.

Created with intention, this space will serve as a classroom, a gathering place for families and friends, additional space for our horses, and a quiet, inclusive setting for meaningful training moments.

Every detail was built to support growth, connection, and the experiences that make this program so special.

We can’t wait to watch this space become a place where confidence is built, barriers are broken, and lives are changed one ride, one lesson, and one moment at a time.

We’re Hiring a Riding Instructor!

J & S Performance Horses – Middleburg, FL

J & S Performance Horses is seeking a dependable, knowledgeable, and forward-thinking riding instructor to join our established and growing lesson program.

This position involves teaching both youth and adult riders in a professional, well-managed barn environment. We do not follow a single discipline or rigid teaching style our program is built around meeting each rider’s individual goals, with the flexibility to adapt instruction accordingly.

Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with riders of all levels are essential.

Position Details
• Teach clients already enrolled in the program
• Lesson goals and progress tracking are established and overseen by the lead instructor
• Collaborate with a team of five trainers
• Learn and grow within a supportive, structured program
• Opportunity to ride and learn within our show string (lesson horses are not used for training rides)
• Work with exceptional, safe, and well-educated lesson horses requiring routine observation and care
• Flexible scheduling based on instructor availability and program needs
• Office team handles client communication, scheduling, and paperwork

We are growing and one of our trainers is moving out of state!

ISO Part Time but could be full time Weekday and possible weekend Riding Instructor to teach English and Western disciplines. Our next part time instructor position is for someone looking for an amazing opportunity to teach the next generation of horse owners. We have very kind, trained lesson horses and provide all equipment for each horse. Our program has a professional foundational curriculum. This achievement based safety-oriented program comes complete with mounted and unmounted instruction which makes teaching our riders fun and fulfilling! This position can grow into having weekday schedule times as well for the right candidate.

Applicants MUST be available on weekends, have experience with horses, good horse related references (we check), reliable transportation, be personable, willing to learn, flexible, be a team player, physically fit (capable of standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, schooling lesson horses), and have a positive outlook on situations. This position can grow with the instructor availability to a larger schedule. Pay is competitive and based on experience. Existing customer base. Office staff with scheduling services. We have the best lesson horses and regulate their work schedules to best suit the health of each horse. We also have opportunities for riding and showing. Continued education is included with this position and required for all instructors of JSPH.
