Friday was TRANSPORT DAY!

Layla & Waffles got tired of waiting for autumn to arrive in Houston, so they are headed up north to find fall weather and a forever home!

Big thanks to their fosters for giving them a safe & loving place to land before their big adventure and to FC & medical coordinator for making sure they were ready to go. And immense gratitude as always to our transport partner Ruff Start Rescue for welcoming them to their future in Minnesota.

This is what rescue looks like, y'all: people and organizations working together to give animals a second chance. We are grateful to all our volunteer heroes for contributing to this worthy endeavor.

Safe travels and happy lives, Layla and Waffles -- we ❤️ you!

T.G.I. Ching! 🐾⚽🍪

Named after Houston Dynamo legend Brian Ching, this little guy is less “soccer superstar” and more “professional biscuit maker.” 😌✨ Ching is all about the cozy, calm life—baking biscuits, keeping things low-key, and enjoying his peace.

He’s a shy guy with the sweetest, gentlest soul. He’s also the only kitten in his litter who hasn’t tried to attack the family rabbit. Instead, he politely investigates her like the respectful king he is. 🐰👑

And that face?! How is anyone supposed to resist those innocent little eyes? 🥹💕

Ching’s dream home would have a patient hooman who can help him come out of his shell with lots of love, encouragement, and tasty treats. He’d also love a kitty bestie—maybe one of his siblings—to cuddle with, zoom around with, and wrestle whenever the mood strikes. 🐱💞

Think Ching is your perfect match? Apply to adopt this adorable forever biscuit maker! 🍪🏡✨

She’s calm, easygoing, loves pets and attention, and is perfectly happy lounging nearby while the world goes by. Jade would likely be happiest as your one and only kitty. 💕
