Meet the little girl who barked for her life… and won. Poppi’s story is one you won’t forget. She ended up in a high-risk shelter, where day after day passed… and no one came for her. No adopters. No hope in sight. Carlos arrived to the shelter and walked up and down rows and rows of dogs that day, so many lives needing a savior. He chose as many as he could. But as he was leaving, a tiny blonde puppy started barking and didn’t stop. She barked louder and louder, determined to be seen. Determined to be heard. Finally, he turned around and there she was. In that moment, he knew… she wanted to live. She was asking for her chance. He told the staff, “I’m taking her too.” Poppi was lifted from her kennel and placed on the bus alongside the other lucky souls that day, her life forever changed because she refused to give up.
