We are suckers for little old poodles. And when the shelter sent out a plea for this little lady because she had bloody stool and was depressed, we put the pedal to the metal to bust her out.

Madge is 9ish year old gal who clocks in just under 10lbs and is about the sweetest little thing. She waited very patiently during a 2 hour bath to remove the fleas covering her, she was an angel at the groomer, and she has been soaking up a life in foster that she has always deserved.

Our girl got the full kit and caboodle vet work up. We are waiting on bloodwork results then hope to get her a dental, so she can be all ready for a forever home.

Happy Mother’s Day to everyone - those who are moms to humans and animals, those who aspire to be moms, those who have lost their moms. Celebrating you today and every day!

And thank you to our foster moms - a bittersweet role 🤍they pour so much love into each dog so that they can set them up for success in their forever homes. It’s not easy and we are grateful.

There are many more women behind the scenes at Pippy’s than pictured here and we are celebrating each and every one of them today and every day!

Lemon Tart is now known as Luna and she’s in a dream forever home with PPR alum Cece!!!

Luna Lemon seamlessly fit into their pack and has shown to be such an incredible dog in nearly every situation thrown at her that she is now going through service dog training! 😍

Imagine that - a discarded Houston street dog now on her way to becoming a certified service dog. Nothing makes us swoon more than this! She deserves the stars and the moon and that’s exactly what she’s getting ✨

Norma Jeane is a national treasure

We thought she would be a reserved, older poodle gal but boy oh boy has she proved us wrong. She is a cunning little firecracker who has found her soulmate in her 4 year old human foster brother.

If you can’t find Norma in the house, you can bet your bottom dollar she’s somewhere hanging with her human kid. Ball is life for these two peas in a pod.

We are so excited to announce our summer fundraiser!!

We will be hosting Rosé for Rescues: an elevated cocktail event featuring a curated menu of custom cocktails and light bites, access to our silent auction, on-site photographer, and meet and greets with some of our adoptable pups.

This event will be held on June 14th from 2-5pm. Tickets can be purchased at link in bio or by going to our website and looking at our Events page!

Gemma is the best puppy around!

This girl is friends with everyone - people, kids, dogs, cats, you name it.

She is a completely different dog than the one that came into rescue a month and a half ago. She’s silly, playful and confident.

Alice Wonderland came into the shelter with 9 puppies, and was a loving and dutiful mother. Her puppies were adopted, but no one was interested in adopting her. We love our mamas, so we scooped her up!

And boy oh boy, she is an absolute delight!!! She is about 3 years old, 42lbs, gentle, loving. She will be getting spayed then go through heartworm treatment.

If you are in the market for a lovely friend, Alice is your girl. She will be able to go to her forever home in early July.

Little Lisa Vanderpup is looking good and feeling braver day by day.

We have a little setback in her health, so we are running additional diagnostics to see what might be going on.

In the meantime, she’s showing us just how spunky and adorable she is and we are soaking up every minute of her.

Ziggy is officially on the market! This little poodle dude is just the best companion. He is so happy to lucky, fabulous with people and dogs, and just wants to be part of the mix.

He’s a high energy guy who will need a lot of walks (minimum 1 hour per day - MINIMUM), play time, and dog yappy hours. Yes, little dogs need exercise, just like any dog!

BETTY BOOP IS HOME WITH OUR BESTIE!!

Sometimes the universe aligns in the most perfect and beautiful way. Betty Boop is such a special dog to us - she came at the right time and brought our rescue immense joy.

And now, she’s home with the most incredible crew. She joins PPR alumnus, Atlas, Bella, and our bestie !! This girl scored the forever of a lifetime and we couldn’t be happier.

Clementine is just pure goodness. And so many dogs just like her are waiting at shelters across the country.

This perfect girl has been a dream in foster. Great with people and dogs, excellent in her crate, good on leash, and overall, a very well-balanced dog.

She will be undergoing heartworm treatment soon and then she will be available to go to her forever family!
