The Ruby’s Experience

Here at Ruby's Home for Good, we are committed to creating interactions between people and horses that are good for BOTH (not just in service of the person).

It’s that very desire - to feel good with the horses, and have the horses feel good with us - that allows our veteran and youth participants to explore hard but essential skills for their well-being. Questions like -

How do I ask for what I need?

How do I set boundaries that keep me safe and healthy?

What is my role in creating a positive relationship with another?

What is the other (horse) needing from me?

These questions and more are explored regularly in our Wellness with Horses and Healing Trauma with Horses programs.

🌻 Bring nature home, for Good 🌻

Our Earth Day Native Plant Give Away is a true win-win for nature enthusiasts! Enhance the beauty and function of your home landscape while making a difference for veterans, youth, and horses in need.

Our participants know firsthand the peace and joy that comes from being surrounded by natural elements, wildlife, and beautiful flowers. Now you can too. Even a plant or two (or three!) can create an inviting backdrop for you, not to mention the pollinators who keep our planet happy.

Reach out to [email protected] to reserve your plants and schedule pickup. Our weather is perfect this week to get them established in their new home.

Quick review-
- reserve your plants and schedule pick up
- make a donation of your choice to support veterans, youth, and horses
- pick up at your scheduled time at our Magnolia facility
- settle your plants in their new home and watch them grow!

These plants are coming straight from our gardens, to yours. Limited quantities available.

We are quickly approaching our one year anniversary at our new facility, and could not be more grateful both for the beautiful space and for the many people who have joined us in turning it into a healing place for both horses and people. It truly has been a community effort.

Special 🌟 Shout Out 🌟 to Judy and Bill Bragman, who gave us the shelter of our dreams! This addition does so much for our mission -
- it provides our herd with a comfortable place to rest out of the elements
- our participants a shaded place to connect with each other and the herd, and
- retreat visitors a space to be surrounded by nature while finding peace and community.

Thank you, Judy and Bill, for seeing a need and believing in the value of supporting our mission.
