June is National Microchipping Month!

No better month to talk about microchipping than the month leading up to the big Fourth of July holiday and celebration 🎆 July 4th is the number 1 day animals go missing!

Collars and tags can fall off and go missing but a microchip once implanted your pet will always be protected. Here at PAWS we use HomeAgain microchips. Your fee includes a lifetime registration for your pet in the national database. Regardless where your pet goes missing and is found one quick scan at a veterinarian office and they will be able to contact homeagain and alert you!

Meet the staff Monday! 🎉

Dr. Mike joined our team 2 and a half years ago. You will find him Monday thru Thursday in office with his surgeries Tuesday mornings. Dr. Mike has been a practicing doctor for 9 years with a year of assisting before that.

Dr. Mike graduated from Rutgers, NJ for undergrad school and Virginia Tech for veterinary medicine. When not at the practice Dr. Mike enjoys hiking and traveling as a way to relax. At home he has two dogs, a husky and husky mix as well as three cats!

Dr. Mike is accepting new patients by appointment only. Monday and Tuesdays appointments from 9am-6:20pm, Wednesday and Thursday appointments from
9am-4:20pm. You can schedule appointments with him through our website or by calling the office 717-633-7297

We’re just three and a half weeks away from the Fourth of July weekend. If your cat or dog doesn’t handle stressful situations well like the loud booms of fireworks today is the day to start calling us to see what we can do to help! Unfortunately theres not one magic medication that works for everyone so starting now gives everyone time to see what works before the big day.

Meet the staff Monday! 🎉

Meet Madison! Madison has been surrounded by vet med all her life but officially joined the field about 3 years ago and 2 and a half years ago joined the PAWS team. Madi did receive her veterinarian assistant certification from Ashworth College.

When not at work Madison still has her hands full with animals, between grooming for our friends at Mason Dixon K9 and a house full of animals. Madison has three herding dogs, one ball python, three corn snakes and a leopard gecko. You can also find her at local reptile expos and dog shows!

We’re so honored to have Madison part of our team! Starting out as a full time receptionist moving up from assistant to technician, you have been a vital addition to the team!

Today we had a great team bonding day with all our families at the York Revolution game! Great friends, good food and a day full of laughs. Jessi and Natalie even got to go down on the field for a game of bumper balls!

Meet the staff Monday!

Introducing Natalie! Natalie has been with us for 3 years where she started her career in vet med. She started as an assistant technician while attending veterinarian technician schooling through YTI. Natalie earned her degree and worked her way up to a technician!

Natalie is no stranger to animals of all shapes and sizes. At home along with cats and dogs Natalie also cares for a mini horse, scorpion and a leopard gecko! In her free time you might find her at the gym, riding down Eisenhower on her motorcycle or relaxing reading a good book.

We’ve loved having Natalie part of our team and watching her grow tremendously in the field!
