A tick may be tiny, but the effects of a tick-borne disease can show up days or even weeks later. Changes like fever, lethargy, limping, loss of appetite, pale gums, or swollen joints are worth paying attention to.

Many pet owners are surprised to learn that most dogs and cats do not lose all of their fur during chemotherapy! 💙🐾

Unlike human chemotherapy, treatment for pets is designed with one goal in mind: maintaining quality of life while treating cancer. Most pets continue enjoying their favorite activities, spending time with their families, and living life as normally as possible throughout treatment.

Every pet's journey is unique, but a cancer diagnosis does not automatically mean giving up the things they love.

A torn cranial cruciate ligament (CCL), the canine equivalent of an ACL tear, is one of the most common orthopedic injuries in dogs. Left untreated, it can lead to chronic pain, joint instability, and arthritis.

Signs your dog may have a cruciate ligament tear include:
🐶 Limping on a hind leg
🐶 Difficulty getting up, running, or jumping
🐶 Muscle loss in one hind leg
🐶 Stiffness after resting

Our veterinary surgeons, perform TPLO surgeries among others Monday - Thursday at Fetch in Greenville. TPLO is considered the gold standard for many dogs with CCL injuries, helping restore stability, reduce pain, and get them back to the activities they love.
