DID YOU KNOW?

It may look like we don't have any cats in our adoption program when you see our empty lobby cages, but trust us... we always have something brewing behind the scenes.

From helping new moms care for their babies to getting kittens ready for their future forever homes, there's always something happening with our adoption program!

Today, we're sharing a peek at one of our current little families, a mama cat and her four adorable babies!

We're always working to help more kitties find their way to loving homes.

DID YOU KNOW?!? Gahanna Animal Hospital has a team that sticks together!

We're incredibly proud of our team, and today we want to brag about something that makes our family-owned practice extra special: the YEARS of experience our staff brings to the table!

Here is a little perspective on just how dedicated out team is:

đŸŽ—ïž 33 team members have been with us for 5+ years!

💙 23 team members have been with us for 10+ years!

👏 17 team members have been with us for 20+ years!

🏆 6 team members have been with us for 30+ years!!

đŸ„‡ And one of our team members is approaching an incredible 40 YEARS with Gahanna Animal Hospital!

Think about that for a minute! That's decades of caring for pets, supporting their families, building lifelong relationships with our clients, and helping our community's pets live healthier lives.

As a family-owned animal hospital, we believe our people are what makes us special. Having so many team members who have chosen to grow with us over the years is something we never take for granted.

To our longtime team members: thank you for your dedication, loyalty, knowledge, and compassion. And to every member of our team, thank you for being part of the Gahanna Animal Hospital family!

We're not just a veterinary hospital. We're a team with history, experience, and heart - and we are proud of it!

Meet Franklin, the “golden retriever stuck in a cat’s body,” as Dr. Harkins fondly noted in his chart.

Franklin’s human rescued him back in 2020, and since joining the family, he has always had a small, firm bump on the left side of his face. It never seemed to bother him, so his owners decided to monitor it over the years.

While Franklin was under sedation for another procedure, Dr. Harkins excised the lump. And what did she find inside?

A BB gun pellet!

It turns out Franklin had been carrying this little surprise with him since his days as a stray.

DOES YOUR CAT NEED A CAT?
Meet Flossy — because sometimes your cat doesn’t need a human
 it needs a friend!
Flossy is almost 1 year old, spayed, and completely up to date on her vaccines. But her absolute FAVORITE thing in the world? OTHER CATS.
She LOVES having a feline friend to hang out with, play with, chase around, and just generally be a cat with. If your current kitty seems bored, lonely, or like they’re secretly asking you for a roommate
 Flossy may be the answer.
đŸ± Cats: OBSESSED. The more feline companionship, the better!
đŸ¶ Dogs: Sure! As long as they understand that Flossy has personal space boundaries. She’s perfectly happy living with a dog who doesn’t constantly get in her face.
đŸ‘¶ Small children: Not her thing. She’d prefer an adult-ish household where she can be her fabulous self.
Flossy is basically looking for a home where she can say:
“Oh, you already have a cat? PERFECT. I was hoping you did.”
If you have a cat who needs a bestie, playmate, snuggle buddy, and fellow household troublemaker, come meet Flossy!
📍Available for adoption through Gahanna Animal Hospital. Email [email protected] with any questions.
Flossy is ready to find her cat-loving roommate!

Congratulations to Tim and Abigail our raffle winners and the newest owners of a nespresso machine and a roomba! If your name wasn’t drawn the consolation prize is knowing your pet is protected from fleas, ticks and heartworms.

These two handsome boys that helped us pick the winners are available for adoption. If you think they might make a great addition to your family stop by and visit them and ask one of our lovely client care representatives for an application!
