Check this out. Just as we were leaving this evening and pottying our dogs, Keanna saw a tick on her dog's leg. In seconds it had disappeared under his light colored fur and it took us several minutes to even find it again. It's hard to appreciate the size in this picture but this dude is tiny. You'd NEVER find it in a dark colored dog or a longer haired dog. Also, this is the kind of tick that transmits so many diseases, including Lyme disease AND this tick lives ALL YEAR LONG, it not only survives the winter, it's active all through the winter! This is why tick prevention is so super important!

Meet Dini! He just survived a harrowing adventure of being lost for 10 days in sub-zero temperatures! He was apparently close to home but effectively evading all attempts to capture and bring him home safely. His owner reached out to RICO Pet Recovery and placed lots of signage in the area to alert the community to be on the lookout. RICO deployed traps, used a drone with heat signature technology yet Dini remained elusive. Finally, Dini was discovered by a community member who had see the signage and was able to connect with his family very quickly! Dini has been home safe and eating all the food he missed out on while he was pretending to be a feral dog!
