The difference just 24 hours of structure, guidance, and clear communication can make is amazing. Lulu is learning that walks aren’t about pulling ahead, doing whatever she wants, or constantly searching for the next thing...they’re about focus, calmness, and building a better connection with her handler....

Tethering can be a powerful tool when teaching a puppy how to self regulate. With Lulu, a 9 month old puppy, we’re helping her understand that she doesn’t always need to be in motion, seeking attention, or waiting for the next exciting thing to happen.

In the beginning, there’s often some frustration. They may fight the process, test boundaries, and question why they can’t just do what they want. But once they realize that calmness is the expectation and that nothing is coming to “rescue” them from being uncomfortable, a shift happens.

They begin to relax, settle their mind, and learn that doing nothing is okay.

Training isn’t just about teaching commands, it’s about teaching dogs how to regulate their emotions, make better decisions, and become comfortable in a calm state of mind....

One of the most rewarding parts of being a dog trainer is keeping in touch with my board and train graduates long after they complete the program.

It was great to see Dozer and Nala, who graduated from our program over a year and a half ago! Their owners recently reached out for some guidance on introducing a new four-legged family member to the pack, and I was more than happy to help.

One of the greatest joys as a dog trainer is watching a board and train dog gain confidence over obstacles that once felt scary to them.

Seeing a dog go from hesitant, unsure, and fearful to curious, confident, and willing to try is an incredible transformation to witness. 💯

Training is about so much more than obedience. It’s about helping dogs learn how to work through challenges, build confidence, and realize the world isn’t such a scary place after all. Watching that confidence grow day by day is one of the best parts of this job. 🐾💚...

For their high-energy dog, I recommended adding structured play with a flirt pole to help burn energy in a productive way while also building engagement and impulse control. Instead of allowing chaotic energy to build up throughout the day, they’ve been giving Dodger an appropriate outlet both mentally and physically. Keep at it team!! 💪🐾...

"Train as you live” is one of the best ways to build reliable obedience and a calm mindset in your dog. Training doesn’t always have to happen in a formal session some of the most valuable work can be done during everyday life.

Washing the car? Have your dog practice Place nearby. Doing laundry, cleaning the house, or working in the garage? Those are all great opportunities to work on calmness, duration, and impulse control in a real-world setting.

These little moments throughout the day add up in a big way. Your dog learns that they don’t always need to be moving, entertained, or involved in everything. They learn how to relax, stay accountable, and exist calmly while life happens around them....
