The trend of good news continues. Loss of life in shelters has remained low for years. Cats are getting adopted even more often. The balance between animals in and out is still reasonable. Two issues to target are continued neutering AND figuring out what the slight decrease in owner reclamation might mean. I suspect, more dogs with chips are going directly from finder to owner rather than through a shelter.
