We almost missed $2 Tuesday!! Let’s talk about eyeballs.

Kitty colds are something we deal with extensively, and they can wreck havoc on a baby kittens eyes. And adult cats! Thankfully we have a whole slew of vets behind us that know what they are doing and are armed with antibiotic drops, antiviral meds, plasma, botox, and various surgeries. So far this year we’ve had eye removals, surgeries to fix eyelids, procedures to remove foxtails from eyes, and procedures to help fill in the eye structures to keep things where they need to be! So many things affect the eyes! And it adds up fast. Please donate a bit to help us help them see better!!

We are drowning in kittens needing rescue and could really use more foster homes!

Foster homes care for kittens while they get ready for adoption. Whether that be while they get healthy and old enough or just while we get their vaccines and spay or neuter done. The rescue pays for and arranges the vet work and you care for them in your home until they're adopted.

For $2 Tuesday we have Ollie! Ollie was returned to us over the weekend after 7 years when the owners couldn’t financially or emotionally deal with his ongoing health issues. We had them drop him off straight to the ER where he spent two nights, got a feeding tube, and sent off several tests.

He currently has a tentative diagnosis of Feline Infectious Peritonitis, or FIP, and we started treatment for him. He already has more energy and is starting to eat a little bit on his own. His hospital visit was around $3000 and his medications will be a few hundred.

A little glow up picture. What a week of meds, good food, and indoor life can do. Oh and some love.

Kittens born outside have a rough life. This baby is part of an area in southern Utah County that we have tried to trap numerous times but the owner of the property is not cooperative. Sometimes kittens wander to a neighbors and can be snatched up and she calls us. The feral life is no place for a kitten and 75% don’t make it to one year of age. Illness like this is a big contributor.

If you see kittens running around, that means someone needs to step in and start trapping. And hopefully that someone is you. Ask us how!

For $2 Tuesday, we wanted to give an update on our Baby Milo who was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around his feet. On May 7th he underwent surgery to debride and remove the dead tissue and now look at him, walking like a big boy! Our vet thinks he may be eligible for prosthetics when he gets older! Thank you for your previous donations to help him get this far.
