Julian and Ricky have a lot more confidence these days.

These bonded brothers were once scared and skittish, and learning to trust their new family took some patience. Rick came around first, while Julian preferred slow movements and a little extra time before warming up.

Now you'll find them cuddling beside their family while grooming each other, playing together constantly, and regularly interrupting both activities to ask for treats. They've become affectionate, comfortable, and much more confident about making their wants known.

It took some time to get here, but Julian and Ricky are officially right at home, with plenty of cuddles to give and treat requests to make.

The results are in, and the competition was fierce.

In honor of International Cat Day, we're recognizing a few of RMFR's finest for their outstanding achievements in the very important field of being a cat.

Here’s to the globe-trotters who traveled far to find home, the snack lovers who take Churu very seriously, and the snoozers committed to getting their 18 hours.

They've trained their whole lives for this. Mostly by sleeping.

Happy International Cat Day to our winners, our contenders, and every cat out there doing their part to keep humans humble.

Think you’ve got an award winner at home? Show us your champion in the comments.

Like mother, like son? Dax and Quork might disagree.

This mother-son duo may share a family tree, but each has a personality all their own.

Dax is the independent one. Small but full of s***k, she's got a diva streak and isn't afraid to make her preferences known. She'll seek you out when she's ready for company, then happily retire to a cozy bed when she's had her fill.

Quork, on the other hand, prefers a little more togetherness. This handsome lover boy is a chatty, devoted lap cat who likes to stay close to his people and isn't shy about asking for affection. If his meows don't get your attention, a few headbutts usually will.

Where they do agree is that getting older doesn't mean slowing down. Both still get around with ease, appreciate a little help keeping their long coats looking their best, and manage their chronic kidney issues with prescription food.

Dax and Quork can be adopted together or separately, depending on the right fit. For now, they're enjoying the good life in foster care while they wait for someone to fall for a little diva, a devoted lover boy, or maybe both.

Mama Miss Piggy does everything at full volume, from playtime to affection.

This one-year-old tabby is fearless, friendly, and happiest right in the middle of the action. Give her a minute and she'll be in your lap, rolling over for belly rubs and chatting away. If you somehow miss the hint, she'll tell you.

Playtime is where things really escalate. Mama Miss Piggy races through tunnels, wrestles with her favorite kicker, and pursues anything dangling from a wand with impressive determination. Heavy-duty toys are strongly encouraged.

She'd love a home with people ready to keep up with her and a playful companion who can match her enthusiasm.

So come meet Mama Miss Piggy and see what all the noise is about.

The Campers of July have something pretty great to write home about: they found one.

It was a packed session. Campers earned merit badges in biscuit making, bird watching, and competitive napping. The mess hall stayed busy, lights-out was largely ignored, and friendship bracelets became friendship collars.

🏕️ Best Bunkmate: Tazz
🏆 Camp Spirit Award: Oddity
🥇 Most Merit Badges Earned: Olive
🧢 Counselor’s Favorite: Bingo

Some campers arrived ready for adventure. Others preferred a few quiet days around the cabin before joining the fun. Now all 83 have traded their bunks for beds of their own, whether they actually use them is another story.

To the counselors, camp crew, families waiting at pickup, and everyone who helped keep the cabins full of love, thank you for giving our campers plenty of stories to tell around the campfire.

Lights out, Campers of July. You’ve officially earned your final merit badge.

There are still plenty of campers waiting for their turn. Adopt, foster, volunteer, or donate at https://www.rmfr-colorado.org/

Have a former camper at home? Send us an update and let us know what they’ve been up to since packing their bags!

We have some BIG news... and one curious cat who wanted to inspect the check first.

A huge thank you to for selecting Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue as a recipient of a $2,500 Every Pet Project grant!

This incredible donation will help provide medical care, food, shelter, enrichment, and things our cats and kittens need while they wait for their furever families to find them.

Support like this makes it possible for us to say "yes" to more cats in need, and we are truly grateful to Virbac and The Every Pet Project for investing in animal welfare and rescue organizations like ours.

From all of us at Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue, THANK YOU for helping us to make a difference.

Finnick has plenty to talk about these days, and luckily, it's all good news.

This curious boy has settled right into life at home, where he's made it his business to know what's happening at all times. He keeps watch over the neighborhood from his favorite windows, follows his curiosity wherever it leads, and provides plenty of commentary along the way. His family never has to wonder what Finnick is thinking. He's more than happy to tell them.

For all his talking and investigating, Finnick is just as serious about snuggling. Once he's finished keeping everyone informed, he's happy to curl up close for a nap and enjoy the cozy life he's found.

His family says he's living his best life and seems determined to spread the word. We're all ears, Finnick. Keep the good news coming.

Adopted from us? Send us an update! We love seeing our alumni living their best nine lives.
