All Mixed Up Dog Rescue We are a 501(c)3 non profit with a mission to place mixed breed dogs in loving homes in Colorado We strive hard to match the right dog to each family.

All Mixed Up Dog Rescue is a new group wanting to help mixed breed mutts who often get overlooked in shelters. Most of our dogs come from other states who have an overpopulation of unwanted dogs who were found as strays. Some of these dogs had a family but have been tossed aside for various reasons. Others may have special needs, medical or behavior, that only a rescue group like ours can take on.

All Mixed Up Dog Rescue is a takeoff from a previous rescue that I created – German Shepherd Rescue of the Rockies (GSROR) founded in 2011. While in rescue our dogs live in foster homes so we can personally get to know them. We will work with each dog, teaching house manners and basic obedience, getting them ready for adoption. We are dedicated on working with the ones who need a little more attention so they can adjust well to a better life. Our goal is to find them forever homes where they can live out the rest of their lives with love and happiness. We know that if you share the same interests this will make for an easy transition and a better relationship. After adoption, we will continue to be there for the life of the dog with each of our adopters. We will always be here to provide help with any health, training, or behavior issues that may arise. At All Mixed Up Dog Rescue, we are a 501(c)3 non-profit group that depends on community support through fundraising and donations.

We are asking, once again, for your help to cover the costs of Beau's big day out yesterday. First he went in for a spa day, then the vet. The groomer said Beau was the perfect gentlemen. No fussing in the tub, dryer, nails and no reaction with the cat !!! He also needed a re-check with the vet and his heartworm meds for the 1st phase of treatment. Anna needed refils on her meds to keep her pain free for the pinced nerve. Please - any donation will help --

This is our little boy Dawson who was a puppy that grew up on the streets of Texas. Never knowing human kindness or positive interaction he learned to survive on his own. Just a baby trying to find food, shelter and safety. At some point he was hit by a car which shattered his femoral bone and with no one to help him the bone grew back funky. He can walk, run and play just fine but it does look strange:) Dawson is feral but in the months he's been here, he has made some small steps forward. He is now "proudly" sporting a purple collar without freaking out about that thing being on his neck. We can put a leash on him and allow him to drag it. Before when he saw the leash he would fly back to his kennel and push up against the back trembling. Although he is not quite ready for adoption I am hoping someone out there has the experience to work with dogs like him so we can get him moving a bit faster. Jasper may have special needs but that doesn't hold him back from trying his hardest to be a good boy. He is mostly blind but can see shadows and he is neurologically impaired so his movement can be a tad quirky. Jasper loves with his whole heart and is very affectionate. He would love a home with no stairs and carpeting or area rugs. ​No young kids since he gets mouthy when excited and sometimes bites. He doesn't know what he's doing ​as he is just trying to play. I am Smokie and I am a handsome dude :) I am 5 years old and I have been waiting for my forever family for 4 years now. This is sad cuz Katie can't explain why no one ever applies to adopt me. I am a pretty easy going fellow, who loves attention, playing fetch, car rides and hanging out in the sun catching some rays, or snowflakes. Katie says I would do best in a more quiet home with no young kids and a mellow neighborhood. Loud noises, like big trucks revving up or sirens going off all the time make me uncomfortable. If you have a female dog already, one request, I ask they be past the puppy energy phase, not a fan of little paws bouncing off my face.
