The Barking Project The Barking Project, launched in 2022, was established to help save dogs from euthanasia in overcrowded Texas shelters.

Through large-scale adoption events, we unite rescues, raise awareness, and distribute proceeds to support their lifesaving efforts.

Two Puppies Looking for Their Forever Homes!

These two adorable sisters made their way from South Texas with their mama, and now they’re ready to find families who will love them forever! At just 10 weeks old, these little girls are full of puppy charm, sweet personalities, and so much love to give.

Meet Karen — the fun-loving, spunky little adventurer! Likely a Husky/Heeler mix, Karen is active, energetic, a little vocal, and always ready to make life more exciting. She’s going to keep you smiling with her playful personality and zest for life! She’s expected to grow to around 45 pounds and would thrive with an family ready for adventures, playtime, and lots of cuddles.

Meet Laura — the sweet, gentle sister with a calmer side! Likely a Husky/Shepherd mix, Laura has a more laid-back personality and is ready to be someone’s loyal best friend. She’s expected to grow to around 50–60 pounds and would love a family to call her own, whether that means exploring the outdoors or snuggling up after a busy day.

Both girls are great with dogs, cats, and kids! They’ve received two sets of vaccines and will be spayed soon.

These precious sisters have already come so far in their little lives. Now all they need is a family to love them, protect them, and show them what forever really means.

🐾 Meet Cassie! 🐾

Cassie joined The Barking Project in October 2025 after meeting fellow TBP members promoting the organization at WFAA, where she works as a meteorologist. 🌦️

At just seven years old in Kentucky, Cassie knew two things: she loved animal rescue and weather! Cassie now gets to combine these two passions through her work as an on-air meteorologist and a board member with TBP. As part of TBP, Cassie helps spread the word about our mission, events and adoptable animals through social media and local news outlets. 📺🐶

When she’s not forecasting or helping TBP, you can probably find Cassie hanging out with her dog, Lucas, and cheering on animals in need of their forever homes. 🐱❤️
