Leo’s Friends Rescue A very small animal rescue hoping to make a very big change 💜 Please check our events tab for upcoming events.

Leo’s Friends Rescue is a 501c3 organization that rescues abandoned, unwanted, neglected, and abused animals in the community and from local high kill shelters. We are a foster based rescue so all of the animals in our organization are in loving foster homes while receiving the care necessary to find their FURever homes. Our goals for the future are saving as many animals as possible with hopes of expandanding our foster base. Leo's Friends has many local events to recruit new fosters along with show some of our adoptable pets. Leo's Friends Rescue was founded by Stacy Rodriguez, president, and Andrea Price, director.

Today the heart doc said Fiona does not have a heart murmur (Woohoo), and an EKG isn’t the main priority at this time- they prefer to redo Xrays to recheck bone growth and see how her heart is looking 🙏🏽

It’s going to be a very long road for our girl and she is a tough case, but tough cases are why we’re here. We don’t give up on our babies just because the road gets harder. 💜

They are recommending a CT scan for her bones, but not an immediate urgency as she is still growing so we will update on that when we know more 💜

Frankie and Fiona LOVE visiting their therapy vet, and I’m so grateful for the incredible care they receive. 😭💜

Tomorrow, Angelo gets his very first visit, too! 🎉😭

We have been able to take on A LOT recently because of you guys. Seriously. ALL of it has allowed us to help many new faces and we are incredibly grateful. 💜

But with all these new faces come new mouths to feed and we are running urgently LOW on food. 😭

If you can help us stock back up on supplies or toward their ongoing care, we would be so grateful. This is another thousand+ dollar week, and we’re trying to keep what we’ve raised from disappearing as fast as the food does 😅

Our biggest needs right now are DOG/PUPPY & CAT FOOD, washable pads and wet wipes!! We’ve ordered so many bags over the last few weeks and we are FLYING through them 😅

Thank you guys for continuing to show up for us and these babies. We truly could not take on the precious lives we do without you. 💜🐾

Wish us luck today, friends 🥺

Fiona is seeing her heart doctor for the first time at Atlas Pet Vets and also doing acupuncture and physical therapy today. And Frankie will also be doing rehab and acupuncture today at Integrative Veterinary Wellness 🙏🏽

We haven’t even started and I’m already tired 🤣 will update tonight 💜

She’s here to stay- everyone, meet Lola! 💜

I got to meet and love on this girl last night and I’m obsessed! Lola is still very young, around 3 months old. She was found roaming in neighborhood on her own although her dad and her siblings were taken to the shelter. She must have evaded that capture 🥺

Who knows what this poor baby has been through. But she is incredibly sweet and loves to play! She listens very well and will thrive in an environment where she has another playful dog. She is so squishy and delicious. I could kiss that face all day!!

Meet tiny Winnie 🥹💜

This teeny little Chihuahua girl was being given away on Facebook 💔 A foster stepped up so we just couldn’t take the chance of her ending up in the wrong hands. She is SO tiny and so precious, so of course, welcome to Leo’s Friends little girl. 😂💜

She’ll spend the next few weeks with us getting everything she needs, and then she’ll be available for adoption!

Rescues everywhere are DROWNING. We cannot help them without fosters, we just cannot. We don’t have a facility of safe separation areas, it’s not possible 💔💔💔 We wish we could help more but we don’t have the set up for more. 😞

PLEASE SHARE!! PLEASE FOSTER, SHARE, PLEDGE AND DONATE TO THE RESCUES WHO HELP THEM!!!! That’s the only way they get out alive 😞💔 This is devastating.

THIS IS WHY we get upset when people yell at us to save them all. WE CANT. We are a very small rescue, we NEED fosters or our hands are tied.

- if you are not local to DFW and you are not willing to drive to our local veterinarians and adoption events and abide by our requirements for our babies - we cannot use you as a foster or adopter. We do NOT have the bandwidth, patience or volunteers enough to deal with finding other vets or have people argue with us- All we want to do is save them 😞
