Thank you so much to everyone who attended our 90s themed Wazzzzzz UpDog event this weekend! The weather wasn't perfect but actually ended up working out really nicely thanks to you all!

Saturday was cooler, in the 60s with pop up storms. Luckily we had planned on attempting a lunch break, so we were able to take two separate breaks when the lightning started showing up.

Sunday was opposite, with a bright and clear day touching up in the 80s but everyone did a great job keeping their dogs cool, and also stepping in and helping us judges make sure our dogs were walked out! (Special thanks to Lysiane Huber for dealing with my girls!)

Shoutout to our judges, Lindsey Elderbrook Ariel Faeth Brittany Marie James and backup Freestyle Judge Robin Herman. Without you guys I likely would have died in the sun Sunday! Thanks to our line judges Jim Turnpaugh Shae Webster Skyelar Lattimore Holly Hart Kaitlyn Petrow and Christina Kathleen Swanson (Hopefully I'm not missing anyone!). And thanks to Haeli Downs for being our awesome running order and walk up music superstar! Not to mention the help both Haeli and Lindsey always give me in planning and preparing for our events!

Thanks to everyone who came out to our first Biteclub weekend! Scores were submitted Tuesday so should hopefully be uploaded soon. Here's another First Timers Recap of their Updif Experience. Shae Websters recap is below!

I’ll keep it short and sweet.

UPDif 2026 was my first UPDif, and both boys had an amazing time—that’s what it’s all about. We ended up missing about half of our games because we weren’t sure we’d be able to attend, but we made it there a day and a half late. Better late than not at all!

Natsu got a personal best of 57 in Time Warp, and Shiki got a personal best of 30 in Fireball. I’m incredibly proud of my boys and grateful we were able to make it.

Now for our Non-Local Superstar, Ariel Faeth. Ariel lives in Ohio but has been one of our biggest supporters out here! Not only is he coming out to play as much as he can but he helps coach our local Youth team in freestyle whenever he gets the chance! He requested I do his club recap for him.

Right at the beginning of Updif, he tweaked his back pretty badly. (Yet still tried to help coach Scarlet with some last minute AirBounce tips before we knew about it🤣🤦‍♀️) Because of this he ended up scratching a lot of his runs so that he could focus on his main game (Freestyle) and get feeling better. It definitely paid off!

Today goes to our Second Head Judge, Lindsey Elderbrook and her dogs Archie and Oscar! Here's her summary of their time this Updif!

This was our 3rd UPDIF. This was Archie’s first time attending as a comp dog!

Oscar is always just SO HAPPY to play frisbee. He earned a golden receiver (no misses!) on his TNG round. He’s getting older and we have started to adjust his days of play based on his mobility. So glad it worked out he only had 1 game a day for 3 days!

This was Archie’s second UPDIF, but his first time playing games. He’s a rescue, who was left to his own devices for the first 6 months of his life. Big time social deficits there! He was scared of EVERYTHING. Working with him on building confidence in all things has been a slow process, but worth every second.

His first game was spaced out! He was ready to go and was so unbothered by everything and everyone by the field. This was a HUGE level up for us as a team! It was emotional. To see him happy, playing, catching was one of the best feelings I’ve had in a long time.

We are READY to get disc season going and breaking some personal best records!

Our Indiana local superstar Skyelar Lattimore had an Awesome Updif this year! She asked that I recap her week for her.

Skyelar joined us here a couple years ago with this year being her second Updif. To say this young lady has made immense improvement over this past year would be an understatement. Not only have her skills improved but seeing how she's become a more thoughtful player and developed such an amazing relationship with her dog over the past year, has been really inspiring. This team has grown so much on and off the field and I hope to get to see them keep growing together 💗.

This year they took home:

Freestyle: 6th overall, #1 Midi

Funkey: 6th overall, #1 Midi

7 Up: 10th overall, #3 Midi

Our next Rockstar of the week is Christina Kathleen Swanson and Alaric! She asked that I recap her week for her so Here's the breakdown!

They got their first double quad in 4wp earning a PB! And a Single quad and funkadelic in funkey!
Alaric was also being very good in the environment! He is normally quite Dog Reactive but he handled this environment like a champ with only a few grumbles here and there. At one point he was even sitting with his mom next to a few dogs without making a sound.
And in our normal "Clever Girl" vibe, we also need to mark the fact that he took an entire jump out of every single agility game this year. May not have been what his mom wanted but that's gotta be an achievement of some kind!🤣

Here's an Updif Recap from one of our newer Players, Jasmine Harrison with her dog Cloud.

This was our first UPDIF!
To start we actually got to meet horses which has been on our bucket list for years!
Cloud and I got a PB of 15 in throw n go, PB of 16 in 4 Way Play, and a PB of 40 in Frizgility even though that was a run I was very upset with. I did learn from it though so that’s what matters! We had so much fun hanging out with our club members and getting to meet some amazing people including Fairly Odd Dogs who we really look up to! We also couldn’t help but procure a Ninja Bling Collar. 🤗
