Did you know patients who are non-ambulatory (such as those with severe cerebral palsy or spinal cord injuries), sitting on a walking horse provides their brain with the exact neurological map of walking. The brain experiences the precise sensory and motor feedback of walking without the patient having to take a single step!

Food for thought 🤔… a horse’s pelvis moves in the exact same three-dimensional pattern as a human pelvis when walking. This allows patients who cannot walk independently to effectively “borrow” the rhythmic walking motion of the horse, helping train their core muscles and nervous system.
