Mocha’s groom ✨🐾
Mocha’s family loves keeping her coat longer, which is absolutely doable with doodle coats when they’re kept on a consistent grooming and brushing routine. 🤎
Unfortunately, Mocha had something come up that caused her appointment to be rescheduled, which pushed her groom about two weeks past her normal schedule. In just those extra two weeks, her coat became extremely matted, so we weren’t able to safely keep the longer length they normally prefer and she had to be taken much shorter.
This is a great reminder of why staying on a consistent grooming schedule and keeping up with regular brushing at home is so important, especially for doodles and other dogs with longer coats. 🐶🫧
When maintaining a longer haircut, professional grooming alone isn’t enough. Regular brushing between appointments is what keeps the coat manageable and helps prevent tangles and matting. If brushing at home isn’t something you’re able to keep up with, bath and brush appointments in between full grooms are a great option to help keep the coat maintained and allow us to continue working toward that longer style. ✨
Mocha is still absolutely adorable in her shorter cut, but with a consistent schedule and proper coat maintenance, I can get her back to the longer, fluffy style her family loves! 🥰🤎✂️
