🐾 Beware of Bot Flies This Summer! 🪰
Bot flies may sound unusual, but they can cause painful skin wounds in dogs, cats, and even small mammals. Pets become exposed when they investigate rabbit or rodent burrows where bot fly larvae are present.
⚠️ Signs your pet may have a bot fly:
• A lump or swelling with a small hole in the center
• Drainage from the area
• Excessive licking or scratching
• Pain or sensitivity when touched
❌ Don't squeeze or try to remove the larva yourself. Improper removal can cause the larva to break apart, leading to infection and inflammation.
✅ If you notice a suspicious lump, let our veterinary team examine your pet. We can safely remove the larva, treat the wound, and help your pet heal comfortably.

Heat stroke is a medical emergency that can become life-threatening in just minutes. When a pet's body temperature rises too high, it can quickly lead to organ damage and even death if not treated promptly.

🚨 Watch for these warning signs:
💨 Excessive panting or drooling
👅 Bright red, pale, or gray gums
😵 Weakness, confusion, or collapse
🤢 Vomiting or diarrhea

☀️ Help prevent heat stroke by:
💧 Providing plenty of fresh water
