Dr. Rausch is a board-certified surgeon who joined our team in the fall of 2023. Dr. Rausch has a strong interest in soft tissue and oncologic surgeries and is a member of the Veterinary Society of Surgical Oncology and the Society of Veterinary Soft Tissue Surgery. Contact your primary care veterinarian today if your pet could benefit from seeing a board-certified surgeon.

Today we're celebrating our 5th anniversary of opening our emergency room and our new building! A huge thank you to all our staff for their hard work and dedication!

Holly is a 5-year old Rottweiler who came to the UVS surgery team for a right hindlimb lameness. Holly's exam and radiographs confirmed a complete rupture of both of her cranial cruciate ligaments. Dr. Palamara recommended surgery, and bilateral TPLOs were performed. Holly did well after surgery, but her road to recovery was still a long one, and a formal physical therapy program was implemented. Holly's surgery was back in September, and she's been seeing our rehab team twice a week since the surgery. Each week Holly's comfort, strength, and confidence are improving. Holly is rocking the underwater treadmill, and she enjoys playing with her ball during her workouts! We're so proud of Holly and all her hard work, as well as her owners' dedication to her recovery.
