Jedi presented to UVS as a stray with a Cuterebra (botfly) larva and subsequently developed signs of lower airway disease. Cuterebra larvae typically enter through natural body openings or wounds and can cause significant local inflammation. In some cases, affected kittens can also develop respiratory complications, making prompt veterinary evaluation and supportive care especially important. With appropriate treatment and close monitoring, Jedi is making progress toward a healthier future with his new family!
