Just Cats Veterinary Clinic At our clinic, every detail is designed to make your cat’s visit as calm and comforting as possible.

Our veterinary team is specially trained to understand each cat's unique needs, ensuring a gentle, stress-free experience tailored just for them. Welcome to JustCats.ie, Dublin's first and only dedicated feline veterinary clinic. We are within easy reach of all areas of Dublin and surrounding counties, just off the M50 near Blanchardstown. Our aim at Just Cats is to make a visit to the vet as enjoyable as possible, for both you and your cat. In our brand new clinic we have an enthusiastic team of cat focused veterinary professionals alongside state of the art equipment, so feel assured that your cat will be very well cared for. Cats often become stressed when introduced to novel situations, like when going in the car, and visiting the vet. We do our best to alleviate these stresses at the clinic and will provide you with information on how to help make your trip here at calm as possible. In designing our new clinic, 'cat-friendliness' was accounted for at every step, from our waiting room to our cattery. Your cat will feel at ease with our staff, who handle patients with empathy and compassion and we allow your cat time to acclimatize to the new environment.

Visiting Just Cats does not always mean replacing an existing relationship with another veterinary practice.

If your cat has complex needs or would benefit from feline-focused input, our team can collaborate with their regular veterinary practice where appropriate.

Sharing relevant history, results and clinical information can help everyone involved understand the patient’s needs and support continuity of care.

The objective is not about competing relationships. It is about helping your cat receive appropriate care from the right team at the right time.

If you are unsure whether Just Cats may be suitable for your cat’s needs, contact us and speak with a member of our team.

Choosing to focus exclusively on cats allows our team to build extensive daily experience with feline medicine and behaviour.

We regularly care for cats at every stage of life, from kittens attending their first appointment to older patients managing long-term conditions.

This focused experience helps us recognise common feline presentations as well as the less obvious ways illness may appear. It also helps us adapt our approach to different personalities, from confident and curious to nervous or fearful.

Every patient is an individual, but every patient is also a cat.

That dedicated focus is at the heart of what makes Just Cats different.

Cats cannot tell us where it hurts, and they may actively try to hide signs of vulnerability.

That is why a feline examination involves more than looking at one obvious symptom. Changes in weight, coat condition, posture, muscle tone, hydration and behaviour can all provide valuable information.

Your observations at home matter too. Details about eating, drinking, grooming, sleeping and litter tray habits can help build a clearer picture of your cat’s health.

At Just Cats, our team works with feline patients every day and understands the importance of these subtle clues.

Careful observation can help us identify concerns that might otherwise remain hidden.

When a cat begins behaving differently, it is not always easy to know whether they need veterinary attention.

The Just Cats Pet Health Plan makes it easier to arrange a consultation rather than waiting and wondering.

For €25 per month, members receive unlimited veterinary appointments at our clinics during normal opening hours from Monday to Saturday.

You can seek advice when you notice a change without paying the standard consultation fee each time. Medication, additional tests and treatments remain chargeable.

A reduced consultation fee applies at participating emergency clinics on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Terms and conditions apply. Visit justcats.ie/pet-health-plan to learn more.

Cats communicate discomfort long before they scratch or bite.

A tense posture, flattened ears, dilated pupils, a flicking tail or an attempt to hide may all indicate that a cat is becoming overwhelmed.

Recognising those signals allows the veterinary team to adjust before fear escalates.

At Just Cats, understanding feline behaviour is part of our everyday work. We may slow the examination, change the handling technique, reduce restraint or give the patient more time.

A hiss is not bad behaviour. It is information.

When we listen to what cats are communicating, we can provide care in a way that respects both their emotional and medical needs.

A waiting room can shape your cat’s veterinary experience before they even meet the vet.

Barking, unfamiliar dogs and strong canine scents may make an already anxious cat feel more threatened. Stress can lead to hiding, defensive behaviour and difficulty settling during the examination.

Just Cats offers a completely dog-free environment. Our clinic is dedicated exclusively to feline patients, helping us create a quieter and more predictable space.

While no veterinary visit can be guaranteed to be stress-free, removing common triggers can help many cats feel safer.

The difference is often noticeable from the moment you arrive — for cats and their owners.

Many cat owners are willing to travel further because they value a veterinary experience designed exclusively around feline patients.

At Just Cats, there are no barking dogs or canine scents in the waiting area. Every member of our clinical team works with cats daily, and our approach reflects an understanding of feline behaviour, stress and disease.

For owners of nervous cats or cats with complex needs, that focused environment can be especially reassuring.

Choosing a veterinary clinic is a personal decision, and convenience matters. But for many of our clients, knowing their cat will receive dedicated, feline-focused care makes the extra journey worthwhile.
