4 month old, Kiwi the Border Terrier came in for her very first hand stripping appointment today! 🥝

Do not wait until your puppy desperately needs a full groom before introducing them to the process.

Early grooming is about so much more than a cute finished groom. It teaches puppies to comfortably accept brushing, nail trims, bathing, drying, handling, standing on a grooming table, and having their face and feet touched.

The first few appointments may not be perfect, and that is completely okay. The goal is to create positive experiences, build trust with their groomer, and develop the skills needed to make grooming safer and less stressful throughout their life.

Start early, stay consistent, and practise handling at home.

Pixie is super excited when she sees other dogs she wants to run over and say hi like a typical puppy! So today we worked on some neutrality with Leeroy while working on leash manners at a very busy park.
