🎓 Congratulations to Mylan on Graduating His 4-Week Board & Train Program!
Mylan — a fun, energetic boy who just completed his 4-week Board & Train program!
When Mylan first arrived, he struggled with impulse control, overexcitement, and difficulty settling himself down in stimulating environments. And he liked to think that using his teeth was a good option.. Like many reactive dogs, he had a hard time slowing his brain down, making thoughtful decisions, and staying neutral. He often wanted to move first, react first, and think later.
Our goal throughout his program wasn’t simply teaching commands — it was helping Mylan learn how to regulate himself, build better decision-making skills, and understand that calmness and patience is key.
Over the last four weeks, we focused heavily on structure, accountability, and consistency in both the home and real-world environments. Through daily obedience work, place training, crate routines, leash work, and structured socialization, Mylan learned how to pause, look for guidance, and work through distractions without immediately reacting to everything around him.
As the weeks progressed, we saw a huge shift in his ability to settle, stay engaged, and move through life with much more clarity and control. He became more thoughtful, more responsive, and more capable of handling situations that previously would have been overstimulating.
Now it’s time for his humans to continue the work at home by maintaining the structure, consistency, and leadership that helped Mylan succeed here. Dogs like Mylan thrive when expectations stay clear, fair, and PREDICTABLE — and he has all the potential to continue growing into an amazing dog.
I’m so proud of the progress this guy made during his time here, and I can’t wait to watch him continue to succeed back home. 👏🐾
