Spring has sprung and we are seeing an increase in the numbers of ticks.

Initial Tick symptoms can be vague. These can includes:

🐾 Lethargy
🐾 Reduced appetite
🐾 Vomiting

Further symptoms can include:

🐾 Hind limb weakness
🐾 Retching or coughing
🐾 Excessive drooling
🐾 Vocal changes to the bark/meow
🐾 Breathing difficulties including grunting
🐾 Reluctant to move or jump
🐾 Inappetence
🐾 Complete paralyses
🐾 Any other abnormal behaviour/symptom

🔑 Prevention is Key 🔑

🐾 seek veterinary advice on what tick prevention is right for your pet - we now have a yearly injection!
🐾 search your pets coat thoroughly once a day (Tip: start your search from the head down)
🐾 minimise your pets access to bushy environments
🐾 clean up leaf litter
🐾 keep your pets coat clipped short for ease of searching
