Training tomorrow (6/9/26)

If the weather is dry tomorrow, we will be training. The Council has sprinkled sandy fertiliser over the grounds, this is safe of course and I am hoping most of it will have settled down by the morning.

However, if it is raining hard overnight I will be letting you know first thing that we will not be training. If it is on but it's raining where you live, my advice is stay home in the dry. I hope to see you all and wish you a happy Father's Day tomorrow.

After checking out grounds this morning, I am afraid there are two thirds of the area extremely boggy, muddy, slippery and unsafe to train. There are small patches of areas that are not as bad but as i say two thirds are very bad. So unfortunately I am having to cancel training for tonight (26/8/26). However, the forecast seems to be more positive for the rest of this week including Sunday so fingers crossed the grounds will be drier by then.🤞

Don't forget at 10am on Sunday we will be training any children you may have or know, to learn how to approach dogs in general as well as at home along with other tips to keep them and their dogs safe.

Please let anyone you know who may not have Facebook, of these two announcements/ reminders.

See you Sunday.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING GRADUATION
Please note that due to terrible weather upsetting our instructing for the last few weeks, I have decided to add 3 more weeks onto our graduation dates. So we will NOT be graduating on 30th August or the 2nd September but we WILL be graduating on Sunday 20th September and Wedbesday 23rd September.

I hope the weather is listening.

After speaking to the Council i have been assured that the herbicide sprayed on the grounds are perfectly safe for us to train on Sunday. So weather permitting, we will up and running on Sunday coming.

I also want to advise that the next class for your children or older grandchildren or any young children that attend with you to our club, is going to be on Sunday 30th August in the log cabin at 10am.
They learn how to behave with dogs at home and away from home. How to approach their dogs what not to do etc. So please let your friends know and come along on that Sunday and come in the log cabin with them if you wish Serena, our children s class Insructor tells me she is very happy to see you all.
See you soon.

Please note important announcement regarding the reason for
NO TRAINING THIS EVENING (12/8/26)
Today the Council has put signs up advising they have sprayed pesticides around our grounds on both fields, and around the Archery and model railway area.
This could be harmful to dogs especially puppies as well as not being good for our handlers and instructors.
Also grounds are adding to our woes as still boggy in places.
I truly am sorry for having to cancel so many times this year, with what the weather has given us but our duty of care to you and your beautiful dogs takes precidence.
We will be back training again and thank you for your patience and understanding.
See you next week. 🤞

After having our grounds checked this afternoon i am very sorry to say that once again they are too boggy, wet, muddy and slippery to safely train this evening. (29/7/26) Yesterday's rain for most of the day and showers today have finally made me make this decision.
So please stay at home warm and safe and hopefully on Sunday we will have better grounds to allow us to train.
Once again my sincere apologies. Val - Head Instructor

To all Instructors although we cannot train, i still would like you all to, if possible, attend the Instructors meeting that I booked for this evening. But instead of 8pm we will be having it at 7pm.
Thank you. Val 🐾
