💜 POST-PUPPY COAT BLOWOUTS | A LITTLE TLC FOR DEVINA! 🛁

Motherhood certainly takes its toll on a girl's coat!

Around three months after having puppies, many mums experience a significant coat blowout as their hormones begin to settle back into their normal cycle.

Queen Devina is right in the thick of it! 😂💜 She is enjoying a weekly bath and professional blowout, using a carefully selected range of grooming products to support healthy skin, coat condition and regrowth.

It's not about stopping the shedding. It's about helping her coat recover naturally while keeping her skin comfortable and healthy.

Her body has worked incredibly hard raising her babies, and now it's time to give Mum some extra attention.

A little patience, plenty of TLC and hopefully we'll have that beautiful Devina coat back in all its glory! 🥰🐺

What an exciting young male to have here in Australia!

Venom is a son of World Champion Schiwago von Bad-Boll, and at just three years of age, he's already making his mark, taking 1st Intermediate Dog at the 2026 German Shepherd National. 🏆

I think sometimes we forget just how fortunate we are in Australia to have access to some of the world's finest bloodlines.

These dogs represent generations of dedication, knowledge and careful breeding. It's through opportunities like this that we can continue developing the GSD in Australia while preserving the foundations that make this breed what it is.

The temperament, intelligence, courage, soundness and versatility of the GSD are qualities I never want to see lost.

I'm genuinely excited to watch Venom's future unfold here in Australia, to see the dogs he produces and the contribution he may make to our breed over the coming years.

He's still such a young dog, with so much ahead of him!

I also want to extend a very big thank you to the group of owners who have made it possible for Venom to come to Australia. Bringing a dog of this calibre into the country is a tremendous commitment, and I am incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to incorporate his bloodlines into Nimeria. 💜

My beautiful Elektra!

A stunning LSC girl with rich pigment, a beautiful expression and a personality that certainly keeps life interesting! 😂

Elektra is so much more than a pretty face. She has beautifully balanced conformation, with sound structure and an overall picture that is both elegant and functional.

Her intelligence is truly next level, and her health clearances are 100%, including excellent hips and elbows. Her show career has been wonderful too, with first-place results, placings and group awards, proving that she is every bit as impressive in the ring as she is at home.

Elektra is not just a show girl. She has embraced support-dog training, endurance sports, canicross and sled do***ng, and she absolutely loves a good game of tug-of-war. She has the drive, athleticism and enthusiasm to throw herself into whatever adventure comes next.

And then, just when you think she is ready to conquer the world, she becomes the ultimate snuggle bug. That is Elektra: beautifully put together, intelligent, capable and driven, with an incredible off-switch and a calm, affectionate nature when the work is done.

She has grown up alongside me, enjoying family life, training, adventures and everything that comes with being part of Nimeria. She's a girl with character, presence and a wonderful connection to the people around her.

I'm particularly excited about what Venom may bring to Elektra's bloodlines, and how these two may complement one another in the next generation.

I cannot wait to meet their babies and watch them grow!

I've been going through my camera, finding all these photos I'd completely forgotten about, and apparently the girls have been keeping a few little treasures hidden from me!

A beautiful afternoon out on the oval, four happy girls, plenty of room to stretch their legs and absolutely no shortage of personality. 🐾

And then there's Elektra… apparently she's learnt how to RUN ON AIR! 😂✈️

I'm not entirely sure when she developed the ability to defy gravity, but the camera certainly caught her in the act!

Sometimes the best memories are the ones you stumble across when you're looking for something else. 💜

🐺💜 SAGE'S FIRST CITY DAY | PART 2 - WELCOME INSIDE! 🏙️

From the busy streets of Adelaide to being welcomed inside public spaces and buildings, Sage's very first City Day continued with a whole new collection of experiences!

There's a lot more to the world than what happens at home. 😂💜

Walking through unfamiliar entrances, navigating different flooring, meeting people and experiencing the sights and sounds of indoor environments were all part of her adventure.

And then came one of my favourite parts of the day - simply watching her settle, relax and observe everything happening around her.

This is another important part of The Nimeria Method.

Socialisation isn't about meeting every person or interacting with everything around us. It's about developing the confidence to experience different environments, understand what's happening and remain comfortable while life carries on.

Sage is continuing her development towards becoming a Family Support Dog, and I'm looking forward to seeing how she matures over the coming months.

In the New Year, following the successful completion of her GSDCA Hip and Elbow assessments, I will be opening applications for Sage's Guardian Home placement. 💜

I'm looking for a family who will embrace the opportunities, adventures and companionship that come with sharing their life with a Nimeria dog, while continuing to support Sage's development and her future within my breeding program.

🐺💜 SAGE'S FIRST CITY DAY | PART 1 - BIG CITY LIFE! 🏙️

I finally found these photos from Sage's very first adventure into Adelaide City when she was just six months old! 😂💜

From busy footpaths and passing traffic to unfamiliar sights, sounds, smells and people, there was a whole new world for my little girl to discover.

This is The Nimeria Method in action.

I believe raising confident, adaptable dogs starts with giving them opportunities to experience the world beyond their own backyard. Not just practising obedience, but learning to navigate everyday life, make decisions, communicate and build trust through shared experiences.

Sage is also working towards becoming a Family Support Dog, with her future progression dependent on successfully completing her health assessments at 12 months of age.

At six months old, there's no rush and certainly no expectation of perfection. She's still growing, learning and discovering who she is.

For me, these outings are just as much about our relationship as they are about her development. Walking together, exploring new places and learning to understand one another along the way.

And judging by these photos, my Sagey Baby had plenty to look at! 😂🐾

💜 MOVEMENT IS MEANT TO BE FUN! 🐺💪

I turned the music up, danced around for ten minutes and genuinely thought I was going to pop a lung! 😂

It reminded me of when the kids were little and we'd dance, run around and play together. Now it's me and the dogs, and it's still PURE FUN! 💪🥳

A few 20-metre runs, some jumping, twisting, squatting, sit-ups, leg raises, donkey kicks and push-ups. Three rounds of ten, another little run and some natural stretching on the grass.

No gym, no equipment, no pressure. Just fresh air, movement, music and enjoying life with my dogs.

And there's so much more to it than simply getting some exercise!

🐾 Strength & mobility — Moving our bodies helps improve strength, balance, flexibility and endurance.

🐾 Fresh air & freedom — Being outdoors gives us a change of scenery, space to breathe and a chance to switch off from everyday stresses.

🐾 Connection & companionship — Playing and moving alongside our dogs creates opportunities to strengthen our relationships while having fun together.

🐾 Mental wellbeing — Dancing, laughing and enjoying ourselves can lift our mood and make movement something we actually look forward to.

The dogs don't care how many repetitions I complete, whether I look ridiculous dancing around or if I need to stop and catch my breath. They're just happy we're outside enjoying life together.

And somewhere between the running, laughing and trying to remember how to breathe, I realised how much I'd missed simply playing! 😂

Movement is fun. Being outdoors is fun. Playing with the dogs is fun. And feeling my body getting stronger again is pretty wonderful too! 💜

Maybe we all need a little more playtime in our lives. 🐺🥳

💜 WELCOME TO THE SISTERHOOD, SAGEY BABY! 🐺🌸

My beautiful little Sage, Nimeria Kalypso, born 24 January 2026, is officially 8 months and 24 days old and has just started her very first season! ❤️

Suddenly, the last month and a half makes a whole lot more sense. 🤣

Sage and I have been clashing a little lately. Just when I think we're making progress, she's got another opinion, another emotion and apparently another reason why Mum is being completely unreasonable.

For some girls, the hormonal changes can start well before we see the first physical signs of a season. In Sage's case, the last six weeks have been quite the emotional roller coaster, with the final couple of days being particularly entertaining. And by entertaining, I mean testing every ounce of patience I possess! 😂

Then her season arrives, and suddenly I'm standing there thinking, Well, that explains a few things!

I'm fairly certain every woman reading this can appreciate the joys of hormones having their own agenda. 🤣

It's another reminder that our young girls are growing, developing and navigating changes of their own. Sometimes they need a little more patience, understanding and room to work through it all.

Welcome to the sisterhood, my beautiful Sagey Baby. You're growing up far too quickly, and despite the occasional disagreement, I absolutely adore you. 💜❤️

🐺 THE 6–12 MONTH STAGE | SEND PATIENCE! 🤣

Just when you think you're making progress, adolescence arrives to remind you that raising dogs is a continuous work in progress!

That period between six and twelve months can be an absolute adventure. One day you're celebrating how beautifully everything is coming together, and the next you're questioning whether anyone remembers a single thing you've spent months teaching them. 😂

Raising my dogs within a home environment means I live through every stage of their development alongside them. The beautiful moments, the ridiculous decisions, the endless curiosity and the days when everyone seems to have their own ideas about how the household should operate.

It's rewarding, exhausting, hilarious and occasionally enough to test the patience of a saint.

But this is part of growing up. Progress isn't always linear, and adolescence is certainly not the finished product. I keep providing guidance, maintaining boundaries, giving them opportunities to learn and reminding myself that maturity takes time.

So, to everyone currently navigating the six-to-twelve-month stage, I see you! 🤣❤️

Some days you just have to laugh, regroup and carry on.

💜 VIOLET | WE'VE GOT THIS 🐺

Sharing this level of vulnerability has always been one of the most frightening things for me. Allowing people to see the moments when I'm struggling, when I feel overwhelmed and when life isn't quite as together as it might appear from the outside.

No, I'm not broken. I'm not damaged. I'm human, and we all have moments.

I've been feeling a little off these past few days, and Violet has known it.

Sometimes the world becomes incredibly overwhelming for me. Busy public spaces, people everywhere, the feeling that everyone is looking at you when all you really want is for the ground to open up and swallow you whole.

My entire body feels like electricity. My thoughts become irrational, everything feels too much, and even the simplest things can become incredibly difficult.

Today was one of those days.

I could have stayed home. I could have ordered everything online and avoided the world altogether. But I don't want my world to become smaller because some days are difficult. I want to get out, experience life, enjoy my independence and thrive.

So Violet and I went out together.

And when things became too much, my beautiful girl knew.

She came and sat directly in front of me, rested her head in my lap and let me run my fingers through her fur until I could breathe again.

It was our little check-in. That familiar feeling between us of I've got you. We've got this.

We didn't rush. We moved from one sitting area to another, taking our time until I could make it to the places I needed to go.

And eventually, I got to sit down and enjoy a meal with my girl beside me. Something so ordinary, yet something that meant the world to me today.

This is why I speak so passionately about the relationships we build with our dogs.

Violet wasn't waiting for a command. She knows me. She recognises when something isn't quite right, and I know I can turn to her when I need that connection.

My breeding, my training and my everyday life have always been intertwined. I've dedicated so much of myself to developing dogs who can share our lives and support people within our community.

And today, I was the one who needed that support.

I don't want to hide from the world. I want to be part of it, even on the days when that feels incredibly hard.

Today, Violet helped me do exactly that.

My beautiful girl, you were my angel today. ❤️
