Sage and I headed to OzCorpK9 Puppy School with Ryan leading the session.

Absolutely loving our first week — building a solid foundation in theory before moving into the practical work.

Sage was lucky enough to be the demo girl, and she handled it beautifully. Learning quickly, taking it all in… and definitely feeling it by the end.

My main focus tonight was socialisation — exposure to new environments, other dogs, and just being out in the big wide world.

Huge thank you to Ryan and his team, and to the group for a great environment to learn in.

We’re looking forward to week two. 💜🐾

🐾 Nyx 💜
This one has broken me a little.
Saying goodbye to Nyx this morning and putting her on that plane… I’m not okay. I’m really not.

You love all of them — you do. But every now and then, one comes along and there’s just something different. Something immediate. Something you don’t question.
Nyx was that.

She’s an old soul. The kind that looks at you and you just know… there’s a connection there that runs deeper than anything you can explain.

And the hardest part of all of this is that sometimes, the ones you feel the most… aren’t yours to keep.

I knew she was going to the right place. I knew she was meant to be with her family. And she handled it exactly how she’s handled everything — calm, steady, just taking it all in.

Walked in, settled into her crate, said hello to everyone like she’d done it a hundred times before.

Such a beautiful dog. Inside and out.

But knowing it’s right doesn’t make it any easier to let go.
I love you, Nyx. Always. 💜🐾

We recently had the opportunity to spend some time with Ryan from OzCorp K9, and I wanted to share this properly.

Finding the right people to trust with your dogs — especially young puppies — is not something I take lightly. It matters who you surround your dogs with, and it matters who you learn from.

Ryan created a really positive, welcoming environment for Nyx and Sage as they began their first steps into puppy school. The girls were able to explore, engage, and learn in a way that supported their confidence without pressure.

What stood out to me most was his ability to read the dogs in front of him and adjust accordingly. There was clarity, patience, and a genuine understanding of what each dog needed in that moment.

That balance is not something you find everywhere.

Nyx and Sage had an absolute blast — curious, confident, and fully engaged the entire time.
