Meet Nadja and 'Galaxy - Assistance Dog team in training.

There’s something incredibly powerful about starting before you have to… and that’s exactly what Nadja did.

Before Galaxy was even born, Nadja was already thinking ahead — asking the right questions, seeking the right guidance, and mapping out what life would look like with a future assistance dog by her side.

From our very first conversation, it was clear… this wasn’t going to be left to chance.
Together, we explored Nadja’s individual needs, what her starting point needed to be, and how to build the right foundations — not just for a well-trained dog, but for a dog with purpose.

A dog capable of stepping into the role of an assistance partner.

From day one, it’s been about more than “puppy training.”

It’s been about building:
✨ Core life skills
✨ Emotional stability and resilience
✨ Thoughtful exposure to the world
✨ And those subtle, intentional tweaks that shape a future assistance dog

Dog training doesn’t always make for “entertaining” viewing…

But to us? This is GOLD. ✨

In these small, blink-and-you-miss-it moments… real learning is happening.
In this video, you’ll see two puppies having a quick hello — nothing dramatic, nothing over the top. But what’s happening behind the scenes is what matters.

Their owners are practising a skill we call “calling out” —
👉 asking their puppy to disengage from something highly distracting (like another puppy) and come back to them.

And here’s the magic…

Every single team succeeds. 🙌
Not because the puppies are “perfect”…
But because the owners are learning how to show up, communicate clearly, and guide their puppy through real-life situations.

This is what we focus on in our classes:
✔ Everyday skills
✔ Real-world scenarios
✔ Calm, thoughtful decision-making from both ends of the lead

Our Canine 1st Aid Workshop this weekend was full of learning, questions, hands-on practice… and a lot of “I feel so much better now” moments.
