IOWA Service Dogs

Today is National First Responders Day.

The things you see, the lives you save and the sacrifices you make don’t go unnoticed.

Thank you.

Over the weekend, three of our service dogs in-training and their Guardians headed to Kansas City for a weekend of hands-on training! 🐾

Their itinerary included visits to parks, museums, the City Market, navigating different modes of transportation, and even staying in a hotel. Each experience provides valuable opportunities for our dogs to practice the skills they'll need to confidently navigate the world alongside their future warriors.

Training trips allow us to expose our dogs to environments and experiences that we simply can't replicate here in Iowa.

While it might look like we're just taking a weekend vacation, trust us, it's anything but! Behind every stop, every outing, and every new experience is intentional training, patience, and plenty of hard work from our dedicated Guardians.

These experiences help prepare our dogs for the real world and the life-changing partnerships ahead. ❤️

$10,000!

That’s how much was raised for IOWA Service Dogs through tips at the Iowa Craft B**r Tent during the Iowa State Fair! ❤️🐾

We are beyond grateful for everyone who helped make this possible! A huge THANK YOU to our incredible volunteers who gave their time to work shifts at the tent and to the amazing Iowa Craft B**r staff for being part of this effort.

Every dollar helps us continue providing mobility and psychiatric service dogs at no cost to the veterans and first responders we serve. Your generosity makes a real difference in the lives of our warriors and the dogs who stand beside them. 🐕‍🦺🇺🇸

From all of us at IOWA Service Dogs, thank you for helping change lives, one dog at a time!

What a day! ❤️ We are incredibly grateful to everyone who came out to support IOWA Service Dogs at this year’s Wheels4Paws!

From everyone who joined us for the poker run to those who helped make the event happen behind the scenes, this event wouldn’t be possible without you.

A huge thank-you to our sponsors, event organizers, volunteers, participating riders and drivers, and everyone who donated or helped spread the word. Your generosity and willingness to show up for our mission mean so much to us.

Every mile, every helping hand, and every dollar raised helps us continue providing service dogs at no charge to the veterans and first responders we serve. 🐕‍🦺🇺🇸

From all of us at IOWA Service Dogs — thank you for being part of our pack and helping change lives, one paw at a time!

Your support makes a difference.❤️
