🌟 Pet of the Month: Stella! 🌟

If being brave, strong, and ridiculously sweet were a competition, Stella would have it in the bag. 💚🐾

This sweet girl recently underwent two TPLO surgeries just two weeks apart. A TPLO is a major orthopedic surgery that stabilizes the knee after a cruciate ligament injury — so having two that close together is no small feat!

But Stella has taken it all in stride. Through surgeries, recovery, and rechecks, she has remained her wonderfully happy, loving self — always ready with a wagging tail and a smile for everyone she sees. 🥹

She is one tough little lady with the sweetest spirit, and we are so proud of her. Stella, you’ve more than earned your spot as our Pet of the Month! 🏆🐾💚

Here’s to continued healing and getting back to all the shenanigans those brand-new knees have been waiting for. 😂

This month, we’re shining the spotlight on our sweet Grace as Employee of the Month! 💙🐾

Grace brings a thoughtful, capable, and knowledgeable presence to everything she does. Her experience, attention to detail, and genuine care make a lasting impact on our patients, clients, and team.

From providing excellent patient care to stepping in wherever she’s needed without hesitation—which is apparently everywhere, all the time, all at once—Grace consistently helps make each day run a little more smoothly. She approaches her work with kindness and purpose, and we’re so grateful for the positive energy she brings to SRAH.

Our week just got a little bigger 👀

Apparently five days without seeing your pets was simply too long for us. And judging by these two, the demand was getting… ✨aggressive✨

We’re easing Thursdays into the rotation with technician appointments throughout September, giving you more flexibility for vaccines, nail trims, bloodwork, and other tech services. Then, starting in October, we’re going all in with doctor appointments too! 🩺🐾

More availability, more flexibility for our clients, and most importantly, another day each week for us to pretend we’re capable of maintaining professional boundaries when someone brings in a cute puppy.

Swamp Rabbit Animal Hospital is now OPEN THURSDAYS from 8 AM–1 PM! 💚

It’s been a minute since we’ve checked in with the actual management team around here. 🐾

Our clinic pet crew has grown a little since our last roll call, so here’s a peek at some familiar faces — plus our newest additions:

👂 Boberry Van Gogh Earnhardt (Bo) — one ear, several names, zero concerns.
👁️ Stormy — one eye, full surveillance capabilities.

Despite having slightly fewer original parts than usual, these two have fit into our already-questionable crew suspiciously well. They’ve settled right in, claimed their territory, and clearly found their people.

Between them and the rest of our resident crew, we’re starting to think Swamp Rabbit Animal Hospital may be less of a veterinary clinic and more of a very niche collection we’re accidentally building.

We’re not planning to acquire another clinic animal anytime soon…

…but historically, that has meant absolutely nothing.

Stay tuned. Apparently they just keep finding us. 🐾💚

Higgins came in for a regular exam and very generously left behind enough hair to qualify as a second patient. 🐻

To be clear, this was not a grooming appointment. Dr. Sam just sees a hairy dog with a loose undercoat and considers it a personal invitation. ✨

Higgins remained completely unbothered while she brushed… and brushed… and somehow kept finding more. Akitas apparently come with an unlimited fur supply.

Just a routine exam with a complimentary de-Higgins-ing. 🤍🐾

🐾🌟 Pet of the Month: Chica! 🌟🐾

This month, we’re celebrating a very special girl— Miss Chica! 💚

Chica has been part of the Swamp Rabbit family since she became our very first emergency patient, and she continues to remind us what resilience looks like. No matter what she’s facing, she greets us with a wagging tail, a happy heart, and excitement to see her friends at the clinic.

One of our favorite things about Chica is her incredible spirit. She has a way of brightening everyone’s day with her sweet personality, and she’s a wonderful reminder to appreciate the little moments.

A huge shoutout to her amazing family, whose love and dedication to her never go unnoticed. Watching the bond they share is just as inspiring as Chica herself.

We’re so lucky to know you, sweet girl. Congratulations on being our Pet of the Month, Chica! 💚🐾
