5/26: the teens move outside!! 🐣🤎🧡☀️

6 Welsummer (2 roos, 4 hens & named Grey’s Anatomy names) & 8 BCM (unsexed) will spend the next 9-10 weeks in the “quarantine area” before moving to the “condos.”

The only BCM that I KNOW is a roo is 💛💜…the rest are still keeping me guessing!! They are 5 1/2 weeks old…what do you think?? Roos or hens on those 8 BCMs??

Once I know for sure I can name them!! 🙌🏻 This group will be getting Shield of Sparrows names…think Odessa, Evie, Freya, Mae, Caspia, Xandra, Thora, Devney, Perry, Sparrow, Starling, Quentis 👏🏻👏🏻📚🤓

Something pretty cool happened yesterday (5/23)…one of our hens hatched a baby chick! I’ve never let them do this on their own before and it was such a fun surprise last night!! Butterscotch is a mother 🥰 One of Miracle’s eggs was pipped too…I have not checked since…but once this monsoon stops I will be out there checking again!! So fun 🐣

Pivot is 2 weeks old today and weighs 5lbs, 11.4oz (up 1lb, 11.9oz from last week!!). He mastered going up and down the stairs this week, has started to head butt and moved from 5 feedings a day to 4 😉

I wish Agnes would hurry up and birth him a friend…but for now he’s ok being a momma’s boy and following me everywhere 🥰

Mr Pivot is 1 week old today!! He weighs 3lbs, 12.3oz (⬆️ 1lb, 2.7oz since birth). He is the sweetest little bottle baby 💙

This week he has gone on car rides, visited the bank, snuggled in the sun, helped w**d the garden, trotted all the way down our 700 foot long driveway to get the mail and then all the way back & had lots of visitors. He is slamming 3-4oz bottles every 3-3.5 hours during the day and sleeping quietly in his pack-n-play for 10-12 hours at night. He is still patiently waiting for Agnes to deliver him a friend!! We love him 🐐

Miss Mae is 1 week old today!! Born at 10:15pm last Wednesday night 🩷🐐

She now weighs 6lbs, 9.8oz (⬆️ 1lb 14.5oz since birth)!! She is not missing a meal!! 💪🏼

Gertie felt left out once Margo started delivering…so at 1:01am (5/7) she birthed the sweetest little copy paste of herself, but in BOY form! Blue eyes, beautiful coloring, weighing 2 lbs, 9.6oz. At 1:28am she had his brother, who looked just like him, only way smaller! He weighed 1lb, 8.2oz & though we tried to revive him & get him to breathe I think he was just too wittle 😞 He’s a little Angel goat now. While all of that was going on, Baby 1 got way too cold and needed to come inside. Gertie was not drying him off enough and was not excited to let him eat. So, we milked her and brought him inside to warm up! Once he was fully dry and warmer he stood up and ate from the bottle. He is SO sweet & now he’s sleeping on my chest 🥺 Love him already!!

Margo fi-na-lly had a (perfect) tri-color, moon-spotted, blue-eyed baby GIRL at 10:15 tonight…she weighs 4lbs, 11oz & her name is Mae 🩷 We are just sitting out here freezing, waiting for the show to go on!! This cannot be it, right?? 🤷🏻‍♀️😵‍💫🐐
