Sudden changes in behavior, appetite, energy or mobility can sometimes signal an underlying problem.

Save your veterinary hospital's phone number. Know their hours. Know where you can take your pet for urgent care. And keep important medical information somewhere easy to access.

Costumes, candy, decorations and a constant stream of visitors can make Halloween a little overwhelming for pets.

A few simple precautions can help keep the night from turning into an emergency:

🎃 Keep candy and chocolate out of reach.
🕯️ Keep candles and decorations away from curious paws.
🚪 Watch doors when trick-or-treaters arrive.
🐈 Give nervous pets a quiet, secure place to retreat.
