This Friday Tammi will celebrate 20 years with Galena Veterinary Hospital.

We can not thank her enough for everything she does. She started here as the fresh faced assistant you see in this photo and eventually went to technician school, graduating in 2012. She is a true asset to our team and we are very grateful to have her with us still.

If you see her around the hospital this week please tell her Happy Anniversary!!

Are your dogs scared of fireworks? Do you have anxiety meds at home for them?

Your dog does not have to feel the anxiety that fireworks brings to some. Call today to pick up some medication to help them get through the weekend peacefully.

And...as always - if you are camping - keep your dog on leash or in your trailer when it starts to get dark so you don't potentially lose them when they start going off. If you are not going to be home, but they are, keeping them inside or in a secure location so they can't get out of the yard. Sometimes music or keeping the TV helps some cope as well. You never know if your dog is going to spook, even if they haven't before, taking precautions avoids heartache later.

🚨🚨ATTENTION🚨🚨 POSSIBLE SCAM ALERT🚨🚨
This week we had a person call asking if she needed to give us her credit card number? Our Client Care Specialist asked her if she had been in with a pet recently and needed to pay a bill? The caller said she had never been here before and she does have a pet, but does not take him/her to any vet. She told us she was glad she hung up and called us and did not give the person who called her the credit card number.

We are wanting to make sure you are aware of what appears to maybe be a scam. If someone calls and says it is us and are asking for a credit card number over the phone, PLEASE hang up and call us back at our number and verify.
