🖤 GOBLIN UPDATE + $5 FRIDAY! 🖤

Goblin went back to Fishtown Animal Hospital today for his follow-up, and EVERYONE agreed he has improved SO MUCH since coming to KCC! 🥹 His sores are healing, his fur is growing back, and he’s looking like a completely different kitten! ❤️‍🩹

We still have some things to figure out, though!

Despite treating him for roundworms, hookworms AND tapeworms, Goblin’s belly is still very bloated. We ran a f***l PCR today to investigate what could be going on in that little belly of his! We also ran an ear cytology because his ears were getting dirty again so quickly after being cleaned. The doctor didn’t suspect mites, and the results came back POSITIVE for a fungal infection! 😿 He now has medication to take once daily for 14 days. On top of all that, Goblin will be BACK at Fishtown on Tuesday for another antibiotic injection, as the doctors still strongly feel he needs continued antibiotic treatment. We’re also doing our best to minimize interactions and reduce the risk of cross-contamination. He’ll receive his next Revolution treatment at that visit, too!

WEIGH-IN WEDNESDAY!!! 🐾⚖️🖤

It’s time for another little update on Duchess’s babies, and these babies are GROWING!!!🥹💕

Our Puffpuff is officially a little over 3 POUNDS!!! 🥳 Drumstick is weighing in at 2.7 lbs, and our girls Snowball and Princess are both hanging out in the 2.4 lb range! 🤍

But these weigh-ins are about so much more than watching them get bigger and cuter by the day! 🥹 Keeping track of their weight is one of the most important parts of making sure they’re growing properly, getting enough nutrition, and staying healthy! Consistent weight gain is especially important for growing kittens, and catching any unexpected stalls or losses early helps us know when one might need a little extra attention! ❤️ AND HERE’S THE EXCITING PART!!! 🎉 Our little ones need to reach 3 pounds before they can be spayed or neutered, and once they’re big enough, they can all get their surgeries done and officially begin their search for FOREVER HOMES!!! 😭🏡💕

Puffpuff is already there, Drumstick is getting SO close, and Snowball and Princess aren’t far behind! We’re getting closer and closer to the day these babies can start the next chapter of their lives, and we couldn’t be more excited!!❤️

Until then, we’ll keep those bellies full, the scale busy, and these babies growing! Thank you for following along with Duchess and her little family. Every bit of love and support helps us get them one step closer to their happily ever after! 🐾💕

SURPRISE!!! 🎄🖤🤍 Please welcome Mama Noelle and her FOUR newborn babies to Kitten Cuddle Club! 🥹

While Melanie Moy and I were on our way to complete a transport for Foxy’s Cradle, we spotted this sweet girl on the side of the road in North Philly, eating out of an empty can. 😭 She was incredibly friendly, clearly still very young herself, and visibly pregnant. We knew we couldn’t leave her behind.

Noelle was scheduled for a spay abort this Thursday, the soonest appointment available despite being on multiple cancellation lists. But Noelle had other plans and delivered FOUR beautiful little tuxedo babies overnight, without a single peep! 😭🖤🤍

Although her arrival came with a surprise we weren’t expecting, we are so happy that Noelle and her babies are now safe. 🤍 No more searching for food on the side of the road, Mama! You and your babies are going to be loved and cared for every step of the way!🥰

We haven’t named the babies just yet, but with their expected adoption timeline falling around Christmas, you can probably guess what theme we have planned! 🎅🏼🎄

For now, our priority is making sure this young mama has everything she needs to raise her four little ones. Nursing takes a tremendous amount of energy, especially for a mama who is still so young herself! ❤️ Donations through our Amazon wishlist and monetary contributions help us provide food, litter, medical care, and everything else needed for Noelle’s family and the many other cats and kittens currently in our care. BETTY HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!! 💗🐾

This adoption deserves a post of its own because I truly cannot put into words how much this means to me!🥹

Betty has been with me since the beginning of June. In that time, she watched 30 other kittens get chosen, adopted, and taken home while she continued waiting for someone to choose her. Every goodbye meant another kitten had found their forever home, but I couldn’t help wondering when it would finally be Betty’s turn…

Well, HER TURN FINALLY CAME!!! 😭❤️

I cannot thank Betty’s new family enough for looking at this sweet girl and giving her the chance she deserved all along. They didn’t overlook her. They saw her, fell in love with her, and gave her the forever home I’ve been hoping she’d find for months! 🥺 And the best part? Betty now has TWO big brothers, making them one big, happy MOO family! 🐄🤍🖤 Her new parents are already head over heels in love with her, and seeing how happy and loved she is makes every single day of waiting worth it.

Some adoptions just hit a little harder, and this is absolutely one of them! Betty, watching you finally get your happy ending means more to me than you’ll ever know! You were never any less deserving. Your family just took a little longer to find you. 🥹💕

It’s been a little while since we’ve checked in on our sweet boy, and honestly… I couldn’t be happier to say that Milo is doing AMAZING!🥹

Thanks to all of the people who supported Milo through those terrifying days of ER visits and multiple vets, tests, and uncertainty, he is here, he is happy, and he is THRIVING!❤️

Last night, Milo took his very last dose of prednisone, and he has continued doing consistently well. We’re so incredibly grateful to finally be able to say that. 🥺

Milo is still not up for adoption, and honestly, I’m not sure if he ever will be. 🥺 Somewhere along the way, this little guy became my baby! After those four terrifying days of going back and forth between ERs and multiple vets together, I spent the next two-plus months closely monitoring him, caring for him, and watching him slowly get stronger. Somewhere along the way, we became very, very attached. 🥹 For now, I’m just incredibly happy that Milo is okay. I want to keep monitoring him and making sure he continues to do well for a little while longer before making any decisions about his future. Whether that eventually means he finds his forever family or he stays right here with me as a “permanent employee” of KCC😹… I just want what’s best for him. 💙

Thank you for loving Milo, cheering him on, and helping us get him to this point. We wouldn’t be here without you. 💕🐾

Just a few tiny bottle babies who spent the day at KCC before heading off to Foxy's Cradle! So glad we could be a tiny part of your journey, little ones! 🥹❤️

This sweet boy has been through SO much already, and today we were able to get him seen thanks to our amazing friends at Fishtown Animal Hospital!🤍

Goblin had a full exam and a skin scraping to see if we’re dealing with ringworm. We’ll have those results Friday. There is another test for mange, but with funds being so limited today, the vet did not feel it was necessary. Since Goblin has ear mites and worms, he needed Revolution anyway, which also treats mange, so we’re hoping to see some improvement if that’s what we’re dealing with. He wasn’t healthy enough for vaccines today, but he did get Revolution, dewormer, Convenia for his open wounds and a B12 injection. We also tried for a f***l… but his diarrhea is SO liquid it went straight through the scooper. 😭💔

Coraline came along for her stitch recheck and FVRCP booster and she looks GREAT!! She’ll be getting those stitches out with Dr. Cohn next week, too. 🤍

Today’s visit was $492 total. And honestly, we REALLY need our village right now. Our bank account is extremely low, and Goblin’s medical care is only just beginning. On top of that, Scream is scheduled Thursday for his neuter, vaccines and FIV/FeLV test ($110).

We don’t cut corners when it comes to our babies, but we cannot do this alone. 🥺

And just look at this little guy. All he does is purr, even after everything he’s been through. 😭🖤

Please help us give Goblin the same second chance we gave Coraline and Milo. Even $5 makes a difference and helps us keep saying YES to babies like him. 🤍

Meet Goblin. 🎃

This tiny white & orange baby was found outside completely alone and in urgent need of help. A good Samaritan took him in and reached out to KCC, and we simply couldn’t turn him away. 🥺

At just 2.5 lbs, Goblin is in really rough shape. I truly don’t think pictures do it justice. He is covered in fleas and itching so intensely that we had to cone him to keep him from tearing his already damaged skin apart. We immediately started a gentle Dawn bath, flea combing, and Capstar to get the infestation under control. But the fleas are only part of the problem. His skin is severely irritated, crusted, and concerning, and we’re worried about mange or ringworm. He needs to see FAH as soon as possible so we can figure out exactly what’s going on and get him started on treatment.

For tonight, he is finally safe, warm, and has a full belly. 🧡 But he needs medical care, and he needs it soon.

Coraline’s care took a major hit to our funds, but I could not leave this baby suffering outside. His care is likely going to be costly, and we desperately need your help. If you can donate even a few dollars toward Goblin’s care, please do. Every dollar will help us get this little guy through what is clearly a very difficult start to life.

He may be a Halloween Goblin, but he deserves to be comfortable, healthy, and loved. 🥹🧡
