I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of moments like this. Somewhere between the baths, haircuts, little pep talks, and calling someone else’s dog “my little baby” 47 times a day, I get to build real relationships with these dogs.

They learn to trust me, I learn all their little quirks, and somehow I end up loving every single one of them in their own way. Getting to be a safe, happy part of their lives and watching them become more comfortable with me each visit is what makes this job so special.

They may come in for grooming, but I’m just happy I get to love on dogs for a living.

Maggie’s very first spa day 🥹 This sweet Golden Retriever puppy came in for her $25 Puppy Introduction Groom a slow, positive introduction designed to help puppies learn that grooming is safe, fun, and full of new friends.

Starting young gives puppies time to build confidence and a relationship with their groomer, setting them up for happier grooming appointments for life. Maggie left clean, fluffy, and already part of the Pawadise family. 🫶

Sasha’s groom was all about meeting her where she is. As a senior girl with arthritis, standing for a traditional groom just isn’t comfortable anymore and it shouldn’t have to be.

We worked at Sasha’s pace, gave her plenty of breaks, dried her slowly, and completed about 90% of her deshed while she was comfortably sitting or lying down. The other 10% she was comfortably supported by one groomer while the other scissored or clipped. Yes, it takes more time. That’s okay.

Senior dog grooming doesn’t have to mean pushing through discomfort or jumping straight to sedation. Sometimes it simply means adapting the groom to the dog in front of you.

They spend their whole lives loving us. They deserve that same patience and kindness as they grow old. 🤍 Sasha left here looking AND feeling beautiful, happy, and comfortable.

Grooming can be a really big experience for an anxious pup like Luna. 💕 But at Pawadise, we believe every dog deserves patience, understanding, and the time they need to feel safe.

With a little extra care, a calm environment, and grooming at her own pace, Luna is able to get beautiful without sacrificing her happiness. 🐾
