🐾 National Pet Obesity Awareness Day 🐾

Did you know that carrying extra weight can affect more than your pet’s appearance? Excess weight can increase the risk of joint problems, diabetes, heart disease, breathing difficulties, and other health concerns.

Just like people, every pet has different nutritional and exercise needs. Regular veterinary exams help us monitor your pet’s weight, body condition, diet, and overall health so we can make adjustments when needed. ❤️

A few simple ways to help your pet maintain a healthy weight:
🐶 Measure meals instead of free-feeding
🐱 Keep treats to a reasonable portion of their daily calories
🐾 Encourage regular, age-appropriate activity
🥣 Choose a diet that fits your pet’s individual needs
🩺 Schedule regular wellness exams and weight checks

And remember—a healthy weight isn’t about a number on the scale alone. Your veterinary team can help determine what a healthy body condition looks like for your individual pet.

Let’s help our furry friends live longer, healthier, and happier lives! 🐾❤️

📞 Have questions about your pet’s weight or nutrition? Give us a call—we’re happy to help!

Cats are experts at hiding things… especially when they aren’t feeling their best! 🐾 That’s why keeping up with your kitty’s wellness exams is so important, even if they seem perfectly happy lounging around the house. 💤

🐈 Here are a few things to keep an eye on:
✨ Changes in eating or drinking habits
✨ Hiding more than usual
✨ Changes in litter box habits
✨ Bad breath or difficulty chewing
✨ Changes in grooming or activity levels

🐾 Is your kitty a cuddly lap cat, a playful troublemaker, or the ruler of the entire house? 😹 Tell us about them in the comments!
