📢 Important Service Update from Tri-County Small Animal Hospital

🐾 To better serve our patients' growing medical needs, Tri-County Small Animal Hospital will transition away from offering routine boarding services, effective October 26, 2026.

🐾 This change allows our team to focus entirely on providing top-tier veterinary medicine and surgery for our growing community.

🗓️ Existing Bookings: We will fully honor all current reservations scheduled through October 26, 2026. No new reservations will be accepted after today.

🐾 Recommendations: We know your pets deserve the best staycations! We highly recommend researching and touring local boarding facilities for your future boarding needs.

Join us in welcoming Sophia back to our TCSAH crew!

After completing her sophomore year at Berry College in May, Sophia flew to Costa Rica for a three week study abroad course about marine biogeography and tropical biodiversity and biomedicine. Her days there were filled with snorkeling, observing and comparing marine species on both the Caribbean and Pacific side of Costa Rica, hiking, presenting to her peers about Hantavirus (a different strain that what we’re hearing about in the news), and observing monkeys, macaws, and loads of insects. Highlights for Sophia were whitewater rafting for the first time and night snorkeling with a headlamp, where she saw bioluminescent phytoplankton lighting up the waters around her.

I asked Sophia why she came back to work at TCSAH this summer and she enthusiastically replied, "I really enjoy working here! I love the environment, the work, and I learn so much every day."

Be sure to say "hi" to Sophia when you see her friendly face this summer! We think she's pretty great.

Do you have a game plan if your pet goes missing? We have heard, first-hand, some sweet reunion stories of pets microchipped at TCSAH. A microchip provides a permanent ID that cannot fall off, be removed, or become difficult to read so you have the best chance of being reunited if your pet goes missing. Most animal shelter staff know to scan for a microchip, so keep your contact information up to date.

We’re excited to announce our new Pet Portal, so you can manage your pet’s care from home. Pet Portal is replacing our current use of the Pet Desk app. With the Pet Portal, you can:

🐱Review and print vaccine certificates
🐶See healthcare reminders
🐱View previous services and invoices

How to get started:

✔️Go to https://tricountyanimal.com/ and open the "Appointments & Pet Portal" button in the top right-hand corner.

✔️Click “LOGIN TO PET PORTAL.”

✔️Enter the name, email, and phone number we have on file.

✔️Enter the verification code you receive by email (no username or password needed).

If you don’t get the code, it usually means we have a different email on file. Call or message us if that happens.
