🐾✨ Patient Spotlight: Freddie ✨🐾

Meet Freddie, a sweet 5-year-old Mini Poodle currently under the care of our Internal Medicine team while we work to manage some ongoing GI issues. 💙

While spending time with us, Freddie has made himself very comfortable, especially with one of our nurses, who quickly became his favorite person! 🥹 During treatments, Freddie decided he was NOT ready to share her and wrapped himself around her arm, holding on tight and refusing to let go. Safe to say he has officially stolen all of our hearts! 🐶💕

Moments like these remind us how special the bond between pets and veterinary staff can be. We are so proud of Freddie for being such a brave little guy through it all!

🌈✨ Northampton Pride! ✨🌈

We had such an amazing time celebrating love, community, and the incredible energy that makes this event so special. From all the smiles to the vibrant colors, it was a beautiful reminder of the importance of inclusivity, kindness, and showing up for one another. 💛

✨🐾 Patient Spotlight: Buddy 🐾✨

Meet Buddy a tiny 2 ½ month old kitten with a big personality and an even bigger talent for melting hearts. 💛🐱

Buddy came through our ER after not feeling well and not eating like he should. But as soon as he arrived, he was swiftly whisked away for some much-needed comfort snuggles with Dr. Weigand. ✨

The moment he was picked up, Buddy decided the official medical treatment plan was: hold me forever. And honestly, Dr. Weigand fully supported this evidence-based approach. 😄

Get well soon, Buddy! We’re all rooting for you (and your cuddle prescription has been refilled as needed). 🐾

✨🐾 Patient Spotlight: Boojie 🐾✨

Meet Boojie the king of shoulders and professional cuddle expert. 👑🐱

Boojie visited our Urgent Care department and has been under the care of Dr. Stuart and her amazing team. Even though he wasn’t feeling his best, you’d never know it by the way he made himself completely at home. 💛

In true Boojie fashion, he decided the best place to recover wasn’t in a kennel… but perched proudly on everyone’s shoulders like the world’s cutest (and fluffiest) parrot. 🐦➡️🐈 He made his rounds, offering snuggles, head boops, and a little moral support to the entire team because clearly, they needed him just as much as he needed them. 😄

Feel better soon, Boojie! We’ll keep your “designated shoulder spots” warm for your next visit. 💕

Today we’re celebrating the incredible veterinarians all over the world who dedicate their lives to caring for our pets and supporting the people who love them. 💙 Their compassion, knowledge, and commitment make a difference every single day.

We’re especially proud to highlight a great moment from this week’s oncology CE, presented by , featuring Dr. Sara Horn, DVM a member of the Board of Directors for the Maine Veterinary Medical Association alongside our very own Dr. Martha MaloneyHuss. Continuing education like this reflects our commitment to ongoing learning by helping our team and the veterinary community stay at the forefront of veterinary medicine and provide the best possible care.

Thank you to all veterinarians for the long hours, the tough cases, and the unwavering dedication you show to every animal you treat. 🐶🐱

✨ Patient Spotlight: Desi ✨

Today we’re shining a light on Desi, one of our incredible oncology patients. 💛

This brave (and very goofy!) pup is currently being treated for multicentric lymphoma (LSA), prostatic transitional cell carcinoma (TCC), and a liver mass. Despite these challenges, he continues to show up with a happy spirit and keeps our team smiling every visit. 💪🐶

Desi is currently receiving single-agent Doxorubicin therapy and received his second dose on the day this photo was taken, clearly still feeling like himself and soaking up all the love from our staff.

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do, supporting our patients and their families with compassionate, dedicated care every step of the way. 🐾

Happy Birthday to both Dr. Nancy Owen North King Animal Clinic and Dr. MaloneyHuss Integrity Veterinary Center ! In addition to sharing a birthday today, these doctors both received their undergraduate degrees at Smith College (class of 1970 and class of 2009), and lived in the same house (Lawrence) while there! How neat is that?

Dr. Owen was also Dr. MaloneyHuss' mentor when she was a pre-vet college student and even went to Ithaca to present Dr. MaloneyHuss with her white coat at Cornell's time-honored ceremony. These two are thrilled to be working in the same area, and they share plenty of cases. It is so crucial for established veterinarians to teach and support pre-vet students on their journey to become veterinarians - if your veterinarian does this, please thank them!

Although North King Animal Clinic is little, they are powerful (and privately owned!) Recently, they have upgraded their digital x-ray system, in-house laboratory and anesthetic monitoring equipment, as well as adding point-of-care ultrasound. They're also early adopters of therapeutic laser, an invaluable tool for pain and wound management. North King has a wonderful, kind, and collaborative team that has worked together for many years.

North King Animal Clinic is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year – an incredible milestone for "the little red clinic with a big heart!"

We are thoroughly enjoying visiting and celebrating our colleagues in the area! If you would like us to visit your hospital, please let us know!

🐾 Patient Spotlight: Pancho 🐾

We first met Pancho when he was with his original owner, who was going through a difficult time. After being lovingly surrendered to a local rescue, we were fortunate to be reunited with this sweet boy to continue his care and treatment. 💛

Most recently, Pancho had a surgery consultation with Dr. Dunlap and as you can see, he made himself very comfortable! From cuddles to tail wags, he’s been soaking up all the love every step of the way. 🐶✨

We’re so proud to be part of Pancho’s journey and can’t wait to see what’s ahead for this resilient little guy!
