North King Animal Clinic

09/01/2026

North King Animal Clinic will be closed on Saturday, September 5th in observance of Labor Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, September 8th during our regular hours.

On this holiday, we want to take a moment to thank our incredible staff for their hard work and dedication all year round. Your pets are in great hands because of the care our team brings every day, and we're grateful for it.

We're out of regulatory limbo and our texting service is back! 🎉 You can once again reach us by text at 413-584-9178.

Also, we'll be marching in the Northampton Pride Parade on Saturday, May 2nd! We had so much fun last year and hope to see many of you there. To march with our whole, wonderfully supportive staff, we'll be closed Saturday. If you need any medication or prescription diet refills, please let us know by Friday!

Once again, we’re sponsoring the "Pooch Who Can Smooch" category at the 18th annual VINS Dog Show! While we won't have a table this year, we hope you all have a wonderful time and support a worthy cause!

Some of you may have heard news of a rabies vaccine recall and we just wanted to take a moment to reassure you all that we have checked our records and we did not receive any doses of the affected lot number.

Your pets’ safety is always our top priority, and we closely monitor all product updates and safety alerts so we can act quickly if needed.

If you ever have questions or concerns about your pet’s vaccines or medical care, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team. We’re always happy to talk with you!

Massachusetts law requires that dog and cat owners vaccinate their pets for rabies, but a recent recall is impacting some of those vaccinated pets.

🌈 We had such an amazing time marching in the Pride Parade today! It was an honor to stand in support of love, inclusivity, and our incredible LGBTQ+ community. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello! We’re proud to be a place where everyone (pets and people!) is welcome and valued! 🐾💖

We’ve got a front-page champion on our hands! Check out our very own Brandon Owen and the fabulous Cocoa stealing the spotlight (and a kiss!) at the Volunteer in Northampton Schools Dog Show—featured on the front page of today’s Daily Hampshire Gazette! 📰🎉

And the sweetest part? This isn’t Brandon’s first win at this show. 11 years ago, he competed alongside Cocoa’s predecessor, the beloved boxer Mocha, and took home the top prize. Now, Cocoa is proudly carrying on the tradition, keeping the undefeated streak alive!

The Volunteer in Northampton Schools Dog Show was an incredible day filled with wagging tails, big smiles, and so much community love. Thanks to everyone's support, we raised awesome donations for VINS and Thomas J. O'Connor. Can’t wait to do it all again next year!
