It's officially Spooky October, so if you are brave, you can take a first look at our Terribly Spooky, Scary Kittens, all available for adoption through the Thomas J. O'Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center! The little black Voids are Joshua, Dolly, and Jolene. The brown tabbies are Tim and Porter, equally terrifying! Not pictured is their momma, Zara, who, after taking care of 7 kittens, was not up for a photo shoot at the moment. Call us to set up an appointment to meet any or all of them! Pure chaos!

Please share far and wide. This poor girl was only in foster care for a few hours before she literally got a window pryed open and got out the screen —- she’s in a strange neighborhood she doesn’t know where she is. 😩😩😩

Yes, it's true that we have SIX recent ex-Cat Hospital staff currently suffering through vet school! From Tufts (2), Midwestern (AZ), Lincoln Memorial (TN), Cornell and Kansas State with one each, when they graduate they will have a combined student loan debt of approximately 1.8 million dollars. Yikes!! Here's our latest fundraiser for their vet school tuition: Our artistic staff has filled a vending machine with amazing treasures for you. All one of a kind, and all proceeds go to their tuition. Stop by and see!

Our kittens are eagerly waiting for the arrival of Katelyn the lunch lady! Only Vanilla Bean is still looking for her forever home.

Here's our sweet and smart Butter Crunch checking on the health of our hot water heater, just as a precaution. It's fine! But turns out one of our neighbors had theirs malfunction and flood, so we've been advised to run fans for a couple of days near common walls. What that will look like we aren't entirely sure yet. At best it will be windy kittens in here, and at worst we may have to run our appointments "curbside". We will know more when we open tomorrow and you can feel free to call us before coming over, if you have a Monday or Tuesday appointment.

It looks like another upcoming day of Comcast outages is expected tomorrow. Actually, today was not that bad, just a bit early morning. Thanks for your patience! Interesting pregnant mom cat x-ray. Count the skulls you see to predict how many kittens!

We have been notified that tomorrow, Thursday July 23, Comcast will be working on the phone/ internet on our street. It will be intermittent and likely all day. We may or may not have interruptions and we will not know. Our phone won't ring. If you can't get through, and it is urgent or an emergency, please contact the ER at 413-665-4911. Warm day outside! Anyone like ice cream? Natali's babes are one month old today!

It is the perfect time to wish Good Luck to our Jenna as she enters Kansas State University, College of Veterinary Medicine next month!!! Jenna has been with us a couple of years, and her exceptional focus, smarts, love for animals and science all led her to be accepted to 5 veterinary schools on her first attempt applying! Jenna is a Pioneer Valley local, so we will be sure to follow her career path! You've got this, Jenna! She's taking our pride and best wishes with her, but Harry has to stay.

The Thomas J. O'Connor Animal Control and Adoption Centerhas started a new fund called the Reese fund, which will be used for the most neglected cats and dogs that need advanced care. TODAY! Fundraising has started and you can donate online, buy a Reese fund t-shirt online, or drop off canned or dry cat or dog food at the shelter today. We will be accepting food donations all week here at The Cat Hospital for the Reese fund, so if you are no where near Springfield just stop by and we will get it to them! The food will be stocking a pet food pantry so that people will be able to continue to feed their own pets, and keep them in their homes.
The goal is $10,000 for today, and they are half way there! Thanks for considering.

It’s 12:30 and we are half way to our $10k goal! Come on down to TJO, we are here until 2pm collecting donations for the Reese Fund and the Pet Food Initiative. Keep those donations coming! Donate: https://secure.lglforms.com/form_engine/s/RFrxa_Pj6HWfriyf7sK6xw
