Fashionably late, but we couldn’t let this one slide.😉
Team BHR brought home some serious hardware from the NVRHA National Finals!

Lily Zelmanow & One Special Gunner “Remi”
National Finals Youth Intermediate Ranch Horse Champion, with wins in Cutting and Working Ranch Horse and a ribbon in every class of the division. Lily and Remi were also named National Year End Youth Intermediate Champion. That’s back-to-back national titles for Lily, who took Youth Novice last year!

Alida Mataczynski & TS Sugar Shots Bay “Hank”
Third Overall in Intermediate Amateur Ranch Horse at National Finals, with a win in Trail and second in Conformation. Alida and Hank also finished third for National Year End Champion.

Erin Mullane & Megan Bielinski’s BlasterMaster “Simon”
Third Overall in Limited Open at National Finals, with a win in Ranch Trail, second in Cutting, and a ribbon in every class of the division. Erin and Simon were also named Limited Open Year End Champion. Huge thanks to Megan for sharing this awesome horse with us!

Shoutout to the Shockleys!
A big welcome to our newest show crew members. Travis Shockley showed his homebred mare, TDS SweetTwistedIron, to Reserve Champion in the Novice Amateur Division. Thank you to Travis, Diane, and all their family and friends for the fun and support all weekend!

Congratulations to everyone on a successful season and an amazing Finals!!!

Same barn, same crew, much better lighting. 📸

We finally put on real clothes and stood still long enough for Kelsi Bishop of to work her magic. Meet the two people behind Broken Heart Ranch! Erin Baca and Karen Weagraff have been teaching side by side since 2017. One thing led to another, and now here we are, living in the best kind of chaos.

We may be the faces in these photos, but it takes a whole crew to make this place run. Huge thanks to our working students, barn staff and ranch foreman, who keep the horses happy and the wheels turning every single day.

Thank you, Kelsi, for making us look like we have it together. Don't tell her about the hay in our boots.

Weather app said rain. We saddled up anyway, and the clouds were nice enough to hang back and give us this. Worth it. Bring your horse into training or lease one of ours, and you could be out here for the next one.

Lily & Remi reading that cow before it even knows what it's about to do. That kind of instinct takes real time in the saddle to build. If your horse is ready to start building it, that's exactly what our training program is for.

Those little lights in the distance are the only skyline view we don't mind looking at from out here. Just far enough out for the quiet, close enough that getting to us is never the hard part. Handy to know, whether you're driving in for lessons on your BHR lease horse or training on one of yours!

The cow had other plans. We had faster ones. Ranch versatility days are our favorite kind of chaos. Got a horse who'd love this kind of work? Our training program has room for both of you.

Found this one digging through the archives and had to share it again. Good company, good horses, exactly the kind of day we'd happily repeat. Want in on days like this? Training and lease spots are open.
