A Home 4 Spot Animal Rescue

A Home 4 Spot Animal Rescue A Home 4 Spot Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) who rescue animals, treat, rehabilitate and re-home. Typically, our medical runs about $5,000-$10,000 a month.

A Home 4 Spot is comprised of many volunteers throughout Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas and other outlining areas that take in abused, neglected, medical needs and at risk dogs in their homes to start the rehabilitation process to heal our dogs inside out. Our objective is simple in that we treat, socialize and re-home dogs to homes that we closely evaluate making sure that each dog continu

es to thrive in their new home. We currently operate at thrift store located at 4324 N Decatur and Craig where people can donate slightly used which we are able to sell and in return gives us the ability to help more dogs. These last few years have been extremely hard for charities like ourselves and we have really seen the affects. We hate to turn any dog away and would love to save them all, so any amount whether it be $1.00 to $100.00, helps us maintain our goal to help self sustain our costs and eventually grow our rescue to its biggest potential possible. More times than not, we will help a family who simply cannot afford medical treatment on a dog but without donations, we are not able to continue helping those in need. Our rescue provides training, medical care to our dogs, and education to the public. Our training just doesn't involve the dogs, but the humans associated with the dogs. If we can help an owner find a solution to keep their pet and it is in the best interest for the pet to stay with the owner, then we work closely with these individuals and formulate plans to achieve this. Sometimes it is just as simple as the food they eat and sometimes it involves dog trainers to work closely with the dogs to encourage socialization, acceptable behavior in public and the home. Each volunteer that we accept into A Home 4 Spot is given an application to fill out on our website- www.ahome4spot.com and is required to receive periodic home checks as well as each volunteer must agree to transport the animal to the vet care facility as needed and attend at least two adoption events a month. If for some reason this is not able to happen, we have other volunteers that can help with transport and handle the dog during the events. The goal is to provide a safe, warm home with lots of love to reverse the dog’s outlook on life. most weekends we hold events, mostly at Petsmart - 2140 N Rainbow and Lake Mead, but on occasion we are invited to different establishments that support our work and just want to give us extra exposure. None of our foster parents are paid, however we do provide food and the basic care items for our dogs so volunteers have the tools to successfully care for the placed dog in their home. Because we are a non-profit, we rely on fundraising and charity donations to help us with the biggest expense, our medical. We provide all the shots, microchip, and the spay or neuter plus any additional treatment needed. Our typical adoption fees range from $300 upward to $600.00. This really just depends on the dog's medical needs, the age of the dog, the training needed and of course the breed of the dog. When we reference breed of the dog, it is simply because we encourage people to understand that certain dogs are extremely high maintenance and require more than just routine care so an increase in the adoption cost gives us somewhat of a guideline that this family could afford the needs of the dog with less chance of a return or a "dump". Every family considering adopting a dog goes through a complete thorough process. It begins with a search on our site or other related sites such as Petfinder or Adopt-a-Pet or maybe they have seen one of our dogs at an event or a blast on social media. They can inquire many ways. One would be via email, another by phone, by filling out an interest applications on our website and lastly they can also attend our events to meet and greet the dog they are drawn too. We have a very thorough application process that includes a rather lengthy questionnaire, a thorough home check and sometimes several visits and/or play dates. We are in absolutely no hurry to ever place any of our dogs, in fact we believe that finding the right fit for all parties concerned might take more than just a meet and greet and home check. Because of this, our return rate is extremely lower than per say establishments such as kill shelters. Our volunteers are trained and given the right tools to help them determine whether or not the home is the perfect match. Even though our efforts are valiant in this process, we still receive from time to time dogs back into the rescue and we are proud to say that we keep the commitment to the families we adopt out too as well as continue our relationship with them forever.

🐾 OATIE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT! 🐾

Meet Oatie! 💙 Oatie is approximately 4 months old, 21 lbs, and our best guess is a smaller Lab mix.

Oatie was found as a stray a few weeks ago, and sadly, his family never came looking for him. 💔 The family who found him has been keeping him safe temporarily, but they cannot keep him long-term. We need a committed foster or foster-to-adopt so we can officially bring him into the rescue!

Oatie is a sweet, playful, cuddly little guy who learns quickly. He’s great with other dogs, doing well with potty training, and learning to walk on a leash. He’s generally quiet, although he may bark when other dogs bark or hears something unfamiliar. Oatie just received his first set of shots so we need a home committed to keeping him safe until he is fully vaccinated and can explore the world a little more.

He’s still just a baby and will need someone willing to continue his puppy training, but he sounds like an absolutely wonderful little guy! 🥹💙

Meet Sasha! 🤍🖤

Sasha is a 6–7-year-old Whippet/Jack Russell Terrier mix weighing about 17–20 pounds. With her white coat covered in black spots, people often mistake her for a little Dalmatian!

Sasha is spayed, microchipped, and, to the best of our knowledge, up to date on her vaccines with no known medical concerns.

Although she was under-socialized for much of her life, she has blossomed and now loves meeting other dogs, especially those around her size. We think she’d do wonderfully in a home with another friendly dog, but she cannot live with cats.

She still has plenty of energy, loves to run, gives the best cuddles, and is always happy to accept butt rubs! She doesn’t know many basic commands yet, so she’ll thrive with a patient family willing to continue building her confidence.

If you think Sasha could be the perfect addition to your family, please fill out an adoption application on our website. Home check and adoption fee apply.

Meet Skye! 💙

Skye is an Australian shepherd available through A Home 4 Spot. He’s a sweet 3-4 year-old boy who is looking for a very special foster-to-adopt home.

Skye is an anxious, protective boy who needs a structured, patient, and attentive home that can continue helping him build confidence and succeed with his training. He does have a bite on his record, so we want to be completely transparent about his history and the level of care he will require. Ideally, NO CHILDREN UNDER 12 years old.

The good news? 🥹❤️ Since completing board-and-train, Skye has been doing wonderfully with us! He has been getting along with our dogs, learning how to relax, and—after WEEKS of observation—he finally decided that playing with his dog siblings might actually be pretty fun. 🥹🐾 Home with backyard and working dog experience preferred.

He is incredibly loving and affectionate, but he will need experienced, cautious, and committed owners who understand that building trust takes time. He’s not looking for just any home—he’s looking for the right home. 🏡❤️

If you think you might be that person, Skye is available through A Home 4 Spot for foster-to-adopt.

👉 Apply at ahome4spot.com

🏡 Adoption fees and home checks apply.

Please share to help Skye find his perfect forever family! 🐾❤️

Dog of the Day: Meet Leroy 🩵

Foster Needed –

🐾 Let us introduce you to Leroy Brown! This handsome 2-year-old Pug has the biggest personality and an even bigger heart. Leroy is always ready for a cuddle, a treat, and plenty of attention. He loves going on adventures, enjoys meeting new people, and is happy to hand out kisses wherever he goes. He’s great in the car, although he may bark at people he sees along the way. Leroy is good with other dogs and is looking for a loving foster or forever home where he can continue to thrive. He’s still working on his potty training and does best with regular walks rather than relying on a dog door. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with love and affection, Leroy could be the perfect foster for you. He is neutered, up to date on his vaccines, and microchipped. Interested in fostering or adopting Leroy? Please submit an application through our website, and we’ll be in touch soon.

Meet Ginger! 💜

This beautiful girl was adopted last fall as a puppy and, unfortunately, is being returned to the rescue due to changes in her family’s circumstances. Ginger deserves a soft place to land while she waits for her next chapter. 🐾

Ginger is dog friendly, kid friendly, crate trained, and potty trained. She’s a pretty mellow little girl with a sweet personality, but she still has that playful, mischievous puppy side—so she’ll do best with both physical exercise and mental stimulation to keep her happy and out of trouble.

She’s great on leash, knows “sit,” and genuinely loves being out and about. The only thing to note is that when Ginger first sees you and realizes an outing or walk is coming, she gets a little jumpy with excitement—but this seems very easily corrected with just a bit of training and consistency.

Ginger loves the park and enjoys watching other dogs from afar. She is incredibly friendly with everyone she meets. She also loves car rides and absolutely adores her ball 🎾

If you’re interested in meeting Ginger, please fill out an application on our website. Let’s help this sweet girl find the safe, loving place she deserves. 💜🐶

Foster Needed for Sadie Mae ❣️

Looking for a best friend who can keep up with your active lifestyle? Meet Sadie Mae, a 4-year-old, 35-pound mix with a big heart, an even bigger brain, and endless enthusiasm for life. Sadie is happiest when she’s on the move, whether it’s hiking a trail, splashing through the hose, riding shotgun on a road trip, or proudly playing keep-away with her favorite stuffed toy. After a day of adventures, she’s more than happy to curl up for a cool nap by your side. This smart girl is eager to learn and would thrive in activities like nose work, trick training, or any job that lets her use her incredible mind. She loves having a purpose! Sadie loves her humans with her whole heart, so she’d prefer to be your one and only pet. Because of her strong prey drive and tendency to become fixated, she’ll do best in a home without other animals and with older children who understand her boundaries. She’s crate trained, uses a dog door, has excellent house manners, and politely stays off the furniture unless invited. What she really needs is an active family committed to giving her plenty of exercise, mental enrichment, and lots of love. A quick walk around the block won’t be enough for this energetic girl—she’s looking for a partner in adventure. If you’re searching for a loyal, affectionate, intelligent companion who’s always ready for the next adventure, Sadie Mae is ready to make your life a whole lot more fun! Fill out an interest application on our website!

Life is simply more fun with Eevie around! This adorable 4-year-old French Bulldog is a hilarious little character with a heart as big as her chunky, buff body. Whether she’s zooming through the yard chasing the hose, making you laugh with her goofy antics, or snoring through a Netflix marathon on the couch, Eevie brings joy wherever she goes.

She’s wonderful with people of all ages, loves other dogs, sleeps quietly in her crate, and rides like a pro in the car—as long as she has her comfy car seat and a cup of ice water! Like most Frenchies, she’s not a fan of the heat, so you’ll find her happiest indoors during the warmest part of the day.

Eevie has mild IVDD and some nerve damage that affects her back legs, but don’t tell her that! She still loves to walk, run, and play. To keep her feeling her best, she’ll need a family committed to preventing her from jumping and understanding that she may occasionally have accidents indoors because of her condition.

Despite those little quirks, Eevie never lets anything slow her down. She’s patient while waiting for meals, never tries to steal another dog’s food, and is always ready to trade kisses for cuddles.

If you’re looking for a funny, affectionate companion who will keep you smiling every single day, Eevie is ready to wiggle her way straight into your heart. Complete an interest form on our website and we’ll get back to you!

Meet Miles! 🩵

Miles is an adorable 2–3-year-old French Bulldog with the sweetest personality. This handsome boy has been an absolute angel in his foster home. He’s calm, affectionate, and loves everyone he meets, including kids and dogs of all sizes.

Miles came to us needing to learn the basics of everyday life, from walking on a leash to navigating stairs and even doorways, but he’s proven to be a quick learner and gains confidence every day. His favorite things in the world are cuddling with his people and playing with his beloved stuffed lamb.

Because of the unique needs of the breed, French Bulldog experience is preferred.

If you think Miles could be the perfect addition to your family, please fill out an adoption application on our website. Home check and adoption fee apply. 🩵

Dog of the Day: Meet Cupid! 💕

Cupid is an adorable 11-year-old Maltese/Shih Tzu mix who is just under 10 pounds and as cute as can be! Don’t let her age fool you — this happy little girl still has plenty of pep in her step. She walks wonderfully on a leash, loves her toys, and most of all, just wants to be by your side. 🥰

Cupid gets along great with both dogs and cats and is potty trained, making her the perfect little companion!

Cupid has lived with a loving family her entire life, but sadly, due to unforeseen medical circumstances, they had to make the heartbreaking decision to surrender her. She has been very loved, and now we’re hoping to find her a wonderful forever home where she can continue being spoiled and adored for all of her golden years. 💗

If you’re interested in adopting Cupid, please fill out an application on our website. There is an adoption fee and a home check.
