The OBT gets its own care guide. Pterinochilus murinus — Orange Baboon Tarantula, Orange Bitey Thing, Pterror — whatever you call it, it earns every nickname. We carry both the OCF (that vivid Usambara orange) and the RCF, and we get asked about care constantly. Also Available is the BCF (Tete) and The DCF (Kigoma). All in one Spot!

Here it is!

What you actually need to know:

Dry terrestrial setup — 40-60% RH, substrate dry to the touch
Secure lid. Not snug. Secure. Binder clips on both sides.
Long tongs for every single interaction — slings bite tongs on day one. It webs its entire enclosure into a tube system, which most keepers are looking for, HEAVY WEBBERS! Sit Back and enjoy the show!

Full guide covering all four color forms (OCF/RCF/BCF/DCF), enclosure tables, feeding schedule, molt signs, and safety:

Which form do you keep — OCF, RCF,BCF, DCF or one of the rarer forms?
