🦈💛 Meet Shark Finn 💛🦈

Shark Finn is a stunning 8-month-old girl with the most striking bright golden eyes—the kind that quietly watch the world while she decides if it’s safe.

She’s been in our system for quite some time, doing the slow, brave work of learning that humans aren’t here to hurt her. That trust didn’t come easily. Shark Finn was abandoned outdoors alongside 7–8 other kitties. We don’t know where they came from or how they ended up there—we only know that it left her unsure and cautious.

What we do know is that Shark Finn has so much potential to blossom. She’s looking for a quiet, patient home with people who understand that love doesn’t always arrive instantly—it grows. With gentle voices, calm routines, and time, she will continue to build her confidence and show just how special she is.

Sadly, homes that are calm and patient can be hard to find. Until the right person comes along, Shark Finn is safe with us. But our hearts hope for more—for a home where she can finally relax and truly belong.

🏈🐾 Countess Slate’s Super Bowl Sunday Address 🐾🏈

Greetings, loyal subjects. It is I, Countess Slate, reporting live from my royal suite (also known as my kennel). While I have tragically not yet secured my forever castle, fear not—I shall not be watching the Big Game alone. A devoted volunteer has pledged to come in tomorrow and give me a full play-by-play, complete with dramatic commentary, questionable referee calls, and snack updates. As one does.

To all of you celebrating today: cheer loudly, snack proudly, and may your team be victorious (or at least entertaining). BUT—before you toss those cans and bottles aside, I have a most important royal request…

💜 Thank You, From the Bottom of Our Hearts 💜

One week later and we’re still riding the high from Voices for the Voiceless. What an absolutely incredible night!

To our volunteers who gave their time, energy, and heart—thank you for making everything run smoothly behind the scenes.
To the musicians who shared their talent and used their voices for those who don’t have one—thank you for creating such a powerful, moving atmosphere.

To The Fledge for hosting us and being such a welcoming, community-driven space, thank you for opening your doors and your hearts.
And to everyone who attended, donated, shared the event, and showed up for the kitties, thank you for proving just how strong and compassionate our community is.

We are truly overwhelmed with gratitude. Watching so many people come together for the love of animals was nothing short of amazing. Because of you, we raised over $4,000 for the kitties 🐱💜

This event was a reminder of why we do what we do—and how powerful community can be when we come together for a cause. From all of us (and the kitties), thank you for making Voices for the Voiceless such a beautiful and successful night.

We’re thrilled to share that Saved by Zade has been selected as a Mightycat Partner with Orphan Kitten Club.

Orphan Kitten Club runs the world’s first grant program dedicated exclusively to neonatal kittens, supporting organizations across the country that care for the tiniest and most vulnerable babies. Through this partnership, we’re eligible for additional funding and resources to help us save more orphaned kittens right here in our community.

To kick things off, they awarded us a 75-pound kitten formula grant to help power our 2026 kitten season. That formula will go directly to the bottle babies who depend on round-the-clock feeding to survive.

We’re proud to join this network and incredibly grateful to Orphan Kitten Club for investing in our kittens. Kitten season is coming, and we’re ready!

In all seriousness, Calliope really does love tubs! Is it the smoothness of the porcelain? The soft ruffle of the shower curtain as he jumps in? The kerplunk of the bathmat hitting the floor? We have no idea, but it is adorable. And, guess what?! Calliope is available for adoption! 🐾 He is a shy guy and needs a quiet home with adopters who will be very patient while he warms up to his new space. 🏡🧡

Sardinia is done. She has dutifully nursed her babies even when she was sick. She was thin and congested. She stopped eating. But she didn’t stop nursing her babies. Even when her outcome looked grim. She bathed her babies and kept them warm, each baby draining her of critical nutrients that she needed for herself.

Luckily, she made it through. The antibiotics she was taking finally kicked in and she started eating again. She started producing more milk. She was a good mom with fat babies.

But now she’s done. Her babies are eating on their own. She has gained weight. She’s healthy. Yes, she’s sweet as pie.

She’s also in charge. Of everything. Other cats? She puts them in their place with a skibbity pap to the noggin just for existing.
Want to pick her up? No thank you. Want to give her a pet? She will allow It. Got food? She will come running. Have a lap? She’ll sit in it. Sometimes.

Her fur is silky soft. She has a half tail (genetic). In the Manx world it’s called a “longy.” It’s a thing.

Sardinia will now accept applications for the position of treat dealer and food disher-outer and new best friend. Interested? Fill out an app!

🚨 NEW ADOPTION METHOD PROPOSAL 🚨

Please don’t call our lawyer. Or your spouse.

A community member has pitched us a bold new idea and we need to know how this would be received.

It’s called Ding D**g Ditch Adoption and here’s how it would work:

A community member adopts a cat from us online without their spouse’s knowledge.

We deliver the cat to your doorstep.

We ring the doorbell.

We run.

You open the door.

There is a cat.

Your spouse is like, “Oh no!! The cat distrubtion system must be at work.”

Now you own a cat. 🥳

Cat stays forever.

Your spouse is resigned.

You are not even in trouble.

Everyone lives happily ever after.
Is this adoption or is it destiny? Only you know.

To be clear: this was NOT our idea. A member of the community suggested it as the only way she could get a cat and we are simply… asking questions. Important questions. For science. Hypothetically.
