We are so excited to unveil something we've been working on.
Earlier this year, we were given an amazingly generous gift from a very special client of ours, Phoebe's momma. She asked that we do something that we've been wanting to do but haven't been able to.
It didn't take long for us to decide that we wanted a piece of play equipment. Something that the big dogs could use and enjoy whether playing with friends or lounge on like Phoebe would have.
We needed something sturdy and something that could stand the test of time. We needed something custom. In comes Allison's brother, Ben. Ben spent many hours, late nights, and a few too many trips to Menards making this project come to life. He was the designer and builder. He moved his whole wood shop into Allison garage.
This piece is made of treated lumber and assembled in a way that if a piece ever breaks or rots, it can be removed and replaced. The hardware was a challenge as we emptied Menards and Lowe's of the product we needed. Thanks to a close Goodwin family friend, we were able to get the rest of the pieces we needed.
When it came to transport, we needed something big. Allison's Dad picked it up and transported it on his trailer safe and sound earlier this week.
A heart felt thank you to Phoebe's momma for making this possible. Our new play equipment is going to bring joy to countless dogs for years to come.
Thank you to Ben for all the hours of hard work and for putting together a beautiful structure.

We are hiring!
We are looking to fill a part time kennel technician position. Kennel technicians are responsible for the day-to-day care of the dogs and cats staying with us. This includes but is not limited to running dogs outside, following detailed feeding instructions, administering medications (no injections!), maintaining a clean space for our guests, supervising play groups, cleaning liter boxes, and giving occasional baths and nail trims on dogs.
We have a well-established kennel with many regular guests. We work with some amazing dogs and cats! Although we do get in lots of snuggles and kisses, this is still a hands on and physical job. We are looking for someone who is:

-At least 18 years old.
-Comfortable working with all breeds of dogs and cats.
-Able to lift heavy dogs when needed.
-Comfortable working outside in the elements.
-Is available some weekends and holidays in addition to any weekday availability.
-Someone who understands that our guests are animals and can not care for themselves. Reliability is important.

Pay begins at $13.78 per hour with a review and raise based on performance after 90 days employment. **January 1st, 2027 minimum wage in Michigan is being increased to $15 per hour.**

We can work around your class schedule as well as another job schedule if needed.
