Winnie’s IGP1 protection pictures! I was soooo happy with this routine, and the power and aggression that she brought. Our big point loss was an initial bump in the blind, a few seconds of trying to guard the helper from behind instead of a proper shut down before she came back and sat (😵‍💫), and two out commands after the long bite. Costly, but ultimately little pieces of the work that can be fixed; Winnie herself showed so much of her heart and strengths. She barked nasty and strong, she hit the sleeve hard every time, she tried to stop the helper, and she had fun and listened to mommy as best as her little WiWi brain would let her, that’s all I can ask for!! I’m excited to keep buttoning things up and figuring her out, we have a two coming up and then it’s gonna be puppy time! 👀🥰

Some of Winnie’s IGP1 obedience pictures! I can’t believe my little puppy that is in all my memories right now, who used to fit in my hand, has her first IGP title! Unfortunately the baldest she’s ever been, but still the prettiest most grown up girly. She did so well, she tried her absolute hardest and gave 100% (actually more like 120%), I’m so proud of her and the way she showed. One of these days I will fix my nervous/focusing face, maybe before her 2 🥲😂

This is my dog Ayla, she is definitely mine and not Austen’s so write that down 👀 I’m just kidding, because reality is she loves me a whole lot and I love her a whole lot, but as soon as Austen stepped outside into her line of sight she said “BYE MOM” and left me without a thought 🥲😂

I had been resisting taking her for a spin for awhile now, but I simply couldn’t hold myself back any longer. I knew I would love her, even watching her work with Austen I could tell that her and I would flow like no other, she is so visibly Marek coded. Now don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my WiWi dog, but Winnie and Ayla are very different. Winnie has more edge, thinner nerve that makes for really cracked obedience, and she tends to take herself pretty seriously. Ayla is very go with the flow, she has a sweetness and thoughtfulness about her, she is very controlled in her movement and thinking. Winnie is a do-er, Ayla is a thinker. Winnie has helped me grow substantially as a trainer and I love love love her, but I’d be lying if I said Ayla didn’t give me more of those Marek feelings. Heeling with her felt like I pulled Marek out of his kennel to work, and it made my heart soar. I love seeing pieces of both Marek and Fallon in these kids.

I think this is also a good time to say that we are not considering any homes for Ayla at this time. We have a lot of big changes coming up that I’m excited over, which will ultimately give us even more time and space for our dogs. She came home and acted like she never left, and I’d be lying if I said Austen and I aren’t a little overly protective and loving over this really special girl, so she is staying. We are really excited to start working her more and get her titled, she is an absolutely amazing dog and we are so happy that she is back home where she belongs 🩵

We took some updated portraits of Fallon the other night, and it made me realize I never shared her diagnosis after her spay and mastectomy. Unfortunately, one of the masses did come back as Grade 1. The good news is that the other two were benign, and her vet was happy with how small the cancerous mass was, we found it very very early. She is in the clear right now and we will just have to routinely check for masses, insanely glad it wasn’t worse. Super important to make sure you’re checking your older girls, we only caught this so early because I make it a point to check for them.

She’s well past recovered, her fur on her belly is almost grown all the way back now, and she’s back to ruling the castle! She has not lost any amount of s***k after her spay, she is go go go outside and as chill as can be in the house (except for when food is being scooped 😜) just like always. She doesn’t always get much of the spotlight anymore, I’ve been significantly lacking in the picture department, even on my phone, and decided it had been too long and she needed some updates. Her days tend to look like waking up, eating, sleeping on the couch, bossing the other dogs around, playing ball, going on walkies, eating again, and then going back to sleep 😂 She is the prettiest, sweetest, drivey-est, craziest girl and we love her so much, her role here is so important and she’s given us so much to love and be thankful for. The BEST girl really 💜

Happy 3rd Birthday to my A litter kids: Audi, Murdock, Ayla, and Winnie 🎂🎉

My first babies, three already, that feels so crazy to think about. Three years ago today right around this time Austen and I had just finished bringing them into the world, and I remember sitting there staring at all of them, sleep deprived after Fallon started at midnight, thinking “wow.. this is so crazy”. And it still feels so crazy three years later, knowing I’ve been with Winnie for her entire life, and feeling like I’ve known Ayla her entire life despite only having had her back a few months now. These dogs mean so much to me, I’m so grateful for them.

Winnie my little spitfire, she puts her all into everything she does. She is exactly the type of dog I was picturing for myself pretty much across the board, and she has certainly made me a better trainer because of it. We love WiWi 🖤

And Ayla, our sweet, easygoing, do everything girl. She is so much like her father, she’s a “been there, done that, now what?” girly. She has fit into our dynamic so seamlessly and we’re super excited to put the spotlight more on her in these next few months. So happy she is home.

Happy Birthday pups, you guys are the best 🥹💖
