We're a foster-based rescue helping dogs of all breeds through medical care, rehabilitation, foster homes, and adoption into loving forever homes. Lucky 13 Rescue is a federal 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the rescue and aid of homeless and neglected dogs in the Kansas City metro and surrounding rural areas. We do not limit our efforts to a specific breed, but rather strive to assist any dog t

hat is facing neglect, homelessness, abuse or death. Our ultimate goal is to rehabilitate each canine in our care through placement in loving foster homes until they can be carefully matched with adoptive families.

This sweet girl is full of love, energy, and kisses! She’s great with dogs and kids, good with cats, kennel trained, and loves walks, toys, playtime, and cuddles. She’s smart, food motivated, and eager to learn!

Wednesday is continuing to work on polite manners around food and high-value treats, and her family can help her build great habits with positive training.

She’d love a confident doggy sibling but could also thrive as an only dog.

FOSTER NEEDED: ORIEL

Have you ever met a dog who smiles?! Because Oriel does, and we think that's reason enough to fall in love with her.

Oriel is a 2-year-old, 25 lb Poodle/Terrier mix with the cutest grey and white coat. She's already spayed and ready for a foster home!

This sweet girl has been dealing with some ye**ty skin issues, but she's being treated and is already improving. She just needs a safe, comfortable place to continue healing while we work on finding her forever family.

And despite everything? She's still smiling. 🥹

Jack Jack just lost his person, and his heart is broken. At 9 years old, Jack Jack's whole world has suddenly changed. His owner passed away, and he is grieving the loss of the person and home he knew. Now he needs somewhere safe and loving to land while he adjusts to life without them.

Jack Jack is good with other dogs and loves people. Right now, what he needs most is someone who can offer him patience, comfort, and a soft place to rest his head.

Imagine losing the only life you've known and not understanding why your person isn't coming back. We don't want Jack Jack to navigate that loss without a family by his side.

Leo says, “Sun’s out, tongues out!” ☀️😋

Leo is the perfect little 7 lb. mix of playful and independent. He's the kind of dog who loves spending time with his people but is also happy entertaining himself and exploring the world around him.

Leo gets along well with both dogs and cats and loves receiving pets and scratches from his favorite humans.

Leo will come fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $125.
